Should Everybody Pay?

Jesus one day was out in the front of the synagogue watching people come in and with Him were his disciples – and the custom was before they came into the synagogue, they deposit a contribution in the treasury. The story said some came with large contribution and went in, and some came with small contribution and went in, and as the disciples and Jesus watch, a little lady came along and she put two pennies in the treasury and walked in.

Jesus said, “Looked at that!”
And His disciples said, “Two pennies?
What’s two pennies?”
Jesus said, “No you don’t understand, she gave more than everybody else.”
They said, “Two pennies is more than everybody else?”
Jesus said, “Yes, because I’m sure that two pennies represented almost all of what she had.”

She gave the most! What a classic philosophy.

Here is what did not occur in this little scene : When the little lady put her two pennies in the treasury, Jesus and his disciples did not ran after her and said, “Hey.. Hold it little lady, we’d observed what’s happened with putting the two pennies in the treasury and we’d decided that you’re so pitiful and you’re so poor that we’d decided to give you back your two pennies. "

I’m here to tell you that did not occur. So make this note from this little story. Jesus left her two pennies in the treasury, even though it was the most of what she had. Wow..! That’s such a classic lesson in philosophy, that’s such a classic lesson in what all of us are involved in making contribution. Shouldn’t everybody wish to pay?

The government has to decided to leave some people that they consider poor and pitiful off the tax role, see that’s unthinkable. Even the only pay a dollar, so they can able to say, “I pay! I make my contribution, no matter how poor I am, if all I’ve got pennies, I give some as contribution, whether it’s taxes, benevolence, or whatever it is. Isn’t that a good story?

Active and Passive Capital : Suggestion

So what would be the good philosophy to follow?

First my suggestion, don’t spend more than 70 percent. Of course 10 percent from your income for charity (church), supporting multi project. It is a good place to start, it’s easy to give $1 out of $10 (10 percent out of 100 percent). Little more difficult to give a hundred thousand out of a million. You’d say, “If I had a million dollars, I’ll give hundred thousand. Well, I’M NOT THAT SURE ! Haha. We’ve better start you early, right? So when the big money come, it’ll just be automatic, you don’t have to think about it.

The next 10 percent
: ACTIVE CAPITAL. Try to make a profit. It’s call BUY AND SELL, means you try to make the profit, keep saving up these active capital until you’ve got something to work with to buy and sell.

The next 10 percent : PASSIVE CAPITAL, which means let’s somebody else use these 10 percent, you put these to work and see if you could make a profit. This is to let someone else use it, you are the passive partner in providing the money they are the active partner and see if they can make a profit and pay you dividend and their stocks increase, interest, whatever.

And that little formula is a good place to start, now you might really able not to start there, maybe by the time you heard this, you are in such in bad shape that you have to go here : 97 ; 1 ; 1 ; 1. That ninety seven is for your living and that three percent for charity, active capital, and passive capital. THE KEY IS TO START WITH SOMETHING ; IT’S NOT THE AMOUNT THAT COUNT, IT’S THE PLAN THAT COUNT.

“If I had more money, I’ll had a better plan.” Well this is bad idea.
“If I had a better plan, you’ll have more money.”

So you’ll have to. These now will become an exciting game to play, about measuring progress. This is one of the great motivating factors in the world is TO START SOMETHING AND MAKE THE PROGESS. So the ideal is 70 ; 10 ; 10 ; 10. But I can’t start there, you say. I’ve got to start with 97 ; 1 ; 1; 1. And here’s which you got to understand, THIS IS OK !! And this is the whole game to play. Now, when you start getting into the big money, this number has to change again. So you have to you start here, to make the ideal one.

Classic Sermon and Some Advice

One of the classic sermon I have ever heard, here was the note on his sermon :
#1 IF YOU THINK IT’S IMPOSSIBLE, IT ISN’T
#2 IF YOU THINK YOU KNOW EVERYTHING, YOU DON’T
#2 IF YOU THINK YOU ARE ALONE, YOU’RE NOT

That’s the classic sermon! Your philosophy, whether it’s about economics, or marriage, or your guidance system about good health. It’s easy to get off track, and the sermon get us BACK ON TRACK, and hopefully we’re not too far of track so it doesn’t take too long to get back on track.

Now your philosophy about money, some of you mention the other day : "THE LOVE OF MONEY __ ?" What about money or success? It’s a good debate. IF YOU COULD DO BETTER SHOULD YOU?

You need to develop a financial statement. It is very simple. It’s a piece of paper on the line in the middle, and the left side and right side are your liability and asset. Key phrase : Take a picture of where you are : THE TRUTH. You don’t have to publish this in some local newspaper, this all private stuff. But you have you say “There is no use kidding myself, I got to take a picture where I am, I got to know how good it is, or how bad it is, how much I’m on the upside or how deep a hole I’m really in.”

I started this exercise program of coming up with my current net worth. See your liability and your asset. Your furniture? Or shoes maybe? It really soberly gave me a current picture of where I was, and guess I was unhappy.

But here is the important about the truth, IT SET YOU FREE.
#1 Free to correct old error in judgment. Now where do you go from here, in putting together a financial statement, realizing exactly where we are, NO NONSENSE, THIS IS THE REAL DEAL, we don’t have to share it to others.

Now here’s what we need, perhaps A NEW PHILOSOPHY :
#1 Let me give you sort of the simple of the rich and the poor.
Here is the philosophy usually of the poor :
POOR PEOPLE SPEND THEIR MONEY AND INVEST WHAT’S LEFT (not much left)
Here is the philosophy usually of the rich :
THE RICH INVEST THEIR MONEY AND SPEND WHAT’S LEFT.
It’s just the little turn of semantics, it’s like the turn of the set of the sail, that takes you in a whole different direction.

Now here’s the key : THINK LIKE THE RICH : invest your money first than spend what’s left, don’t spend your money and invest what’s left. Now the whole key is lifestyle. THE MONEY IS ALWAYS THERE ! Either to spend or invest. The different in what you do with it is based on the philosophy NOT ECONOMY. Here’s the illustration : The book on how to get rich cost Rp 100.000 ; somebody said what for that book? Well it just only a bunch of coca-cola, and you want to spend the money on a few of coca-cola, and you either spend it to teach you how to get rich.

EVERYBODY HAS THE MONEY, even the poorest of the poor, the key is how to spend it, what to spend it for, and how you spend it. First how you earn it is determined by your philosophy, second now you spend it is determined by your personal philosophy.

Financial Independence

Here’s the one of the major goals to go for : FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE. Everyone has right privilege to become financially independence. So here’s my definition of financial independence : THE ABILITY TO LIVE FROM THE INCOME OF YOUR PERSONALLY INVESTED RESOURCES. That’s the simple definition. Here’s one of the advantages of financially independence, NOW YOU CAN WORK OR NOT WORK or you certainly choose the work to do, now you can work by choice not by necessity.

And here’s one of the best, TO BE ABLE TO WORK FOR JOY and not for necessity. At first of course we have to work for necessity, but if you can reach the point where you can work for joy not for necessity ; debt free, no one having a claim on your asset, finally being able to live from the income of your invested resources.

Key phrase to understand, we should teach this to your children. ECONOMICS IS MAJOR. Everyone has to major in economics, number one is the PERSONAL SURVIVAL, to produce enough to take care of your self. the first economics. The next good phrase on economics : IT’S NOT WHAT YOU EARN, IT’S WHAT YOU DO WHAT YOU’VE EARN that makes the great different in your financial future. All of these is determined by your own philosophy. It’s important for early, and kids have to have a personal philosophy working even they when go to school. Here’s a good definition of your philosophy : A GUIDANCE SYTEM.

In it does simply two things : (1) HELP YOU TO SEE THE OPPORTUNITIES : TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE ; (2) HELP YOU TO SEE THE DANGERS : MINIMIZE THOSE. And as we learn a grow we learn hopefully early to spot the dangers so it doesn’t over come us. We hopefully we learn early to see the opportunities, and take advantage of those, maximize as we can. That guidance system is like a sail on a sailboat. The wind is always blowing, favorable wind on favorable winds, storming winds, political winds, THE WIND IS ALWAYS BLOWING
.
But to arrive a pre-determined destination, it’s not just the blowing of the wind, that we have to deal with, here is the major part : THE SET OF THE SAIL, of what you learn, gathering this information, talking to each other, guidance how to trim the sail, set the sail, the Sunday morning sermon, the lyrics of the song, the dialog of the movie, words put in to good structure, so that they delivered in enlightenment, information, knowledge, and we use that to set sail, and it isn’t that to set sail once, and that’s it and it’s over, but it is a continual setting of sail everyday, every months, every year, setting sail economically, trimming the sail ; for your good health, you have to set sail to work the destination you wish to reach having good health. Then it is easy to neglect, then it is easy to slide.

Here one of the better phrases : EVERYTHING BY LONG CAVITY TENDS TO GET OFF COURSE. When the early astronauts make those trips to the moon, on the way to the moon : here’s what they had to engage in ; MID COURSE CORRECTIONS. They look at all the gauges and some of sore winds that didn’t expect has push them of course, as they looks at the gauges. Now the must fire the rockets to get the spaceship back on course, and it specially if you’re headed for the moon.

If you’re in aero plane and you miss Jakarta or Los Angeles maybe, you know you’re OK. But you can’t miss the moon. And here’s why : If you miss the moon, you can’t get back. So put this little note now, it is a pretty serious note : SOME DESINATION ARE CRITICAL. Speaking of going to the moon, Neil Amstrong in his little talk : “Going to the moon was just a matter solving a couple of problems.” I thought “That is a simple way to put it.”

Problem #1 : HOW TO GET THERE? (and you just figure that out).
Problem #2 : HOW TO GET BACK? (and you just solve that)

Now we said that’s also critical NOT TO LEAVE UNTIL YOU SOLVE BOTH PROBLEMS. I thought that was classic, haha. Speeches and information give us so much to chew on, right?

Goal Setting - What you have accomplished

Hi there. I'm back again in writing something handful here. I want to tell you that I have finished my master program in management in March 2008. I'm so grateful for that.

So with that in mind, let’s now engage in this little session, it maybe one of the most important for this day, designing the next 10 years. I want you to take a fresh piece of paper
or at least put a title of one page and call it GOAL WORKSHOP, and in this goal workshop I’m gonna ask you a series of questions and I want to write down the questions first and then do the exercise. Ok.

Here is #1 : I want you to list five things you’ve already accomplished that you’re proud of. Make a list of five things that you’ve already accomplished that you’re proud of. Cause all of us have set goals, even when we were kids we wish for something, work hard, and sure enough we got. List five achievement, five goals that you’ve reached in the past already that you’re proud of. If you won a gold medal at the Olympic, that would be a good one to put one there :-)

Whatever you have accomplished, just a list of the five things, this is just a little review, you know, we’re not sitting in a very bad place, we’ve accomplished something, some of us a lot of things. When you working with children, this is a good exercise to start with : WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY ACCOMPLISHED THAT YOU’RE PROUD OF? I’m sure some of you would be impressed.

What we're affected by #3

So these five things primary were affected by. Ohh, here’s the fifth one :
Let review :
1. Environment 2. Events 3. Results 4. Knowledge

And there is number #5 : WE ARE AFFECTED BY OUR DREAMS, OUR ABILITY TO SEE THE FUTURE AND GIVE IT DESIGNED.

Things, places, people, career, fortune. Whatever might become important to you for the balance of your life or specially
over the next of ten years. IT POSSIBLE TO REACH INTO THE FUTURE PERSONALLY.

Now most of the time we don’t do it. Here’s why we don’t really reach in the future : WE’RE TRAPPED EITHER BY REGRET OF THE PAST OR THE ROUTINE OF THE PRESENT. So busy with the routine of the present we don’t give much thought to design the future, or trapped by the past with regret of past losses or past failures or past mistakes and we really remember it over and over again, not to the benefit of changing it to the future but just because we feel that our life have been less than favorable simply because of all the things that happen to us in past.

But here’s the real key IS TO SPEND SOME TIME, and usually we don’t do it until someone comes by and offers the suggestion. That’s why meeting the right person at the right time, attending the right class, listening to the right sermon, having a conversation with the right person or reading my blog here, sometimes can totally change the direction of your life, and you never the same after that personal contact, or sitting in the class, or reading the book, or coming face to face with someone who says, “Hey, you know, our life are not that good, what could we do to change?”

And that very conversation start this whole process. Wow, I am arrive at a very poor place, how could I change all of that for the future and all of that possible. And this point of contact maybe today will help to change all of that, and give some of you a new of glimpse of some of the possibility (I have wrote at this topic in possibility and believing that the possibilities are possible for you then going to work and make them happen).

But let’s me write about SETTING GOALS and see if we can make this really meaningful.

Here’s the next key : MAKE SURE THAT THE GREATEST PULL ON YOU IS THE PULL OF THE FUTURE. Not the pull of the past and keep taking you back, not the pull of gravity like the present that just keep you sort of stuck where you are, but we will make sure that the greatest influence on pull on us is the pull of the future.

If you have POWERFUL GOALS well designed and plenty of them to assure your imagination, here’s what they will do : GOALS BECOME LIKE A MAGNET. And the bigger they are, and the stronger they are, and the longer the list, and the more things you’d like to acquire during the course of your lifetime, THE STRONGER THEY PULL !

And here’s the other advantage of setting goals so that these goals begin to pull you in that forward future direction, they pull you through, all kinds of down time, all kinds of night time experiences, all kinds of winters. You can much more easily survive the next crisis, the next winter of your life, if you have well set goals, finally tuned, places you want go, things you want to do, people you want to meet, skills you want to develop, fortune you want to make, benevolence you want to engage in.

If all of that becomes powerful and clear, and you on your way, I PROMISE YOU, no matter what happens, those GOALS WILL PULL YOU THROUGH. You won’t be loss in the middle because you will be able to see beyond.

What we're affected by #2

Next we’re affected by events, dramatic events, worldwide event, or home events, personal events. Some events affect us all. I’ve read a book remember the missile crisis. Nikita Khrushchev and John Kennedy?

Khrushchev has his missile on away to Cuba, John Kennedy finds out about it and called him :

Kennedy : "Mr. Chairman (of the communism party, Russia), you cannot put your missiles in Cuba. "
Khrushchev : "Young Mr. President, you don’t understand, this is Nikita Khrushchev, we are the soviet union, and we will put our missiles wherever we please."

AND THAT STARTED AN INCREDIBLE CRISIS, KNOWN AS THE MISSILES CRISIS.

Kennedy : "Mr. Khrushchev, listen carefully, you can put your missiles 90 miles from Florida."
Khrushchev : "I hate to inform you, but the missiles are already on the way."
Kennedy : "Mr. Khrushchev, we will not let those missiles arrive. "
Khrushchev : "Mr. President, you don’t understand, if you touch those missiles that are on the way, it means war ! "
Kennedy : "Mr. Khrushchev, I must inform you sir, in all seriousness, if it is war, Russia will seize to exist !"

THAT A HECK OF A CONVERSATION.. isn’t it ? HaHaHa ^_^

And Dean Rusk , the state department at that time I think put it will, said, Kennedy and Khrushchev were staring each other down, and fortunately for all us, Khrushchev blinked, and finally agree to turn around and take his missiles back home. And the world breathe easier. (see picture).

These whole thing about atomic war finally become a reality, and we’re saying WOW, surely NOT but the sake of our children and our children, and I’m sure the Russian officials and Soviet Union Officials and Nikita Khrushchev finally decided for the sake of their children and their grand children, there is no need to have the confrontation with United States.

BUT IT WAS SO CLOSE. So some events affect us all.

Here is the next one : WE ARE AFFECTED BY OUR RESULTS, whatever they been, the result of our errors, or our disciplines. Now here is what’s so staggering about being a human being, IT IS POSSIBLE IMMEDIATELY UPON DECISION TO START A NEW PROGRAM OF CHANGING RESULTS.

If you had in a certain direction and looks like in five years and you will wind up here, and you take a look of that in five years, and you say, “Yes, it’s looks like what I’m doing right now if I continued doing what I’m doing now, looks like I will wind up here.” Let’s say that suddenly on careful consideration you decide : THAT’S NOT A VERY GOOD PLACE, THAT’S NOT A VERY EXCITING PLACE TO ARRIVE. Is it possible as human being to change your destination point five years from now? And the answer is YES. See that’s so extraordinary !

Pick a different destination in five years, and started making plan, learning the skills, and accept the disciplines, and the teaching and the training, and the consistency of effort and just start going into a new direction and in five years from now, wind up in a totally different places than where it was assume you will gonna arrive with the old plans.

Only human being have the extraordinary ability to change the outcome to pick a new direction and go that way, to pick a more certain place to go and read the books, and attend the classes and develop the discipline and find the people and do the business, whatever, that takes you to the new destination.

Next, WE ARE AFFECTED BY KNOWLWDGE, whatever you know has brought you to where you are, what’s you’ve missed in the past, at particular moment, you might could vary to a much better place, if you hadn’t missed what you missed in the past. But now knowledge can turn it all around. Knowledge can start us in a new track, can help us not only to review the past, but the peering of the future, and say, WOULD IT POSSIBLE? Be possible to have a more unique design for the future than what I’ve had in the past, and the answer of all that is YES !

What we're affected by #1

We are affected by the political environment and social environment. We’re affected by the economy environment. All of us are persuaded in one way another to live like we live. Here is a good word to note down : ASSOCIATION.

Be very careful of your association. I’ll gonna write later about financial independence (from the book I’ve read), you know, carry for your resources. Here’s that I’ve discovered : PEOPLE ARE AROUND PEOPLE THAT SPEND ALL THEY MAKE, CHANCE ARE EXCELLENT, THEY SPEND ALL THE MAKE. That’s just the part their part of that association. One your sort to in it, you sort to do whatever one else does.

So here the key to association :

1. LIMITED ASSOCIATION. Some people can spend a few hours with, but not a few days. Some you can spend a few days but not a life time. Some you can spend a little time but not a lot of time. Limit your associations, because of the influence, all of us has to be around people, you know that have a variety of their own beliefs, or what they do that influence us or you know .. is there, it’s in our present wherever we go. But here’s the key, some of us limited association.

2. Here is the next one, this one is a kind of severe that is DISCONTINUE ASSOCIATION. Sometimes you have to say in association, “Is it causing me more harm than good ?” And sometimes the time finally comes where you have part ways, just because the association is not to your benefit, you know for the rest of your life.

3. And here’s the one that we’ve engaged that you read my blog here : EXPANDED ASSOCIATION. Get around people who have good ideas to share, or who have a good stories to share. One of the great benefits of writing in this blog is chance for all of you to meet each other, share testimonials, share ideas, share your reactions, than what has been written, some common experiences, anything, it’s so valuable.

Ready for good ideas, never to successful to learn some more, this is a good environment, expanded association.

GOAL SETTING - NEW RESOLUTION FOR 2008

THIS YEAR = NEW BREAKTHROUGH!!

Here is MY GOAL for all that I've shared from last few months till now, you can start working it all to all of your life systems, you know, your career, your relationships, your financial futures, your health, everything. Improvement in all areas. Sometimes you need to just spend a little more time on one area of your life because that may need fixing or repairing or expanding, you know all systems need to be worked on.

And hopefully the variety of ideas that we're gonna shared here in all of these time will gonna helpful for you.

Then I've a request, "How many of you promised me that when somebody ideas make good sense you'll PASS THEM ALL to somebody else?"

Yes, I look with my sixth sense that everybody agree :-) See that's what's make me extremely happy, that the ideas that are gonna be shared, long after you read these BLOG. That's what important to me, that the idea will continue.

LET ME WRITE ABOUT SETTING GOALS. All of the things that really help transform my life, goal setting really did wonders for me. I read some of Jim Rohn books when his mentor (Mr. Shoaff) said this to Jim, "Let me see your current list of goals and let go over them, and I got some experiences. Let's talk about them, maybe I can give you some help."

And Jim saih once to his mentor, "I don't have a list."
Mr Shoaff continued, "Wow, IF YOU DON'T HAVE A LIST OF YOUR GOALS, I CAN PROBABLY GUESS YOUR BANK ACCOUNT WITHIN A FEW DOLLARS."

Jim response, "You mean to tell me if I had alist of my goals, it would make a different in my bank account.
Mr Shoaff continued, "A DRASTIC DIFFERENT!!" (it got my attention too...)

So make these note :
THE FUTURE'S WHERE WE GOIN' THE PAST'S WHERE WE BEEN THE PRESENTS WHERE WE ARE.

And if we can capture these moment in time from our past to now, and then from now to a future, more will design with better objective and better purpose for ourselves, our family and our business, pur investments, everything else and these moment in time will have become extremely valuable.

Let me share and give you first what really affects us all :
1. We're affected by the (physical) environment in which we live.
I was challenge way back in most early days, " WHY NOT MAKE THE ENVIRONMENT BETTER EVERYWHERE YOU GO?"

Like TURN OF THE LIGHTS WHEN YOU CHECK OUT OF YOUR HOTEL (or maybe your dormitory) AND YOU LEAVE THE ROOM BEFORE YOU LEAVE, TURN OFF THE LIGHTS.

And I thought, why do that? I learn that to make a contribution is that SO EASY, that didn't cost you any time and money, or a piece of your life. Why not make the contribution that easy, because if everybody did it, think of how much we would conserve?

Someone said, "Well yes, but the hotel benefits if you turn off all the lights."
And here's the answer that sophisticated people always have, "Who cares who benefits."
If it benefits the hotel, and everybody did it, probably the cost of the hotel would come down. Every benefit you can give and share, because here's what happens :
IF YOU LEARN TO GIVE YOU WILL RECEIVE.

Maybe not in the manner in which you gave, maybe in some mysterious ways, it always comes back to us. In fact here's what it says, that for the uneducated it'll a be a little bit strange, it says it's better to give than it's to receive. Now see if you don't didn't understand, you would say that doesn't quite make sense. Surely it would be better to receive than to give? And the answer is NO! It's much better to give than to receive. And here's why, it's what we call being in having intelligence self interest, nothing wrong with self interest as long as you do it in the intelligence way.

Here's the key : Because GIVING STARTS THE RECEIVING PROCESS. So to act intelligently in your own self interest, which is good, it's much better to give than it is to receive. Because all of you do, all you do is receive that maybe very limited. But if you give and giving starts the receiving process coming your way from unknown resources and from unknown places back it comes around to you because you become a giver. There's a unique mystery of life, we give to receive and it's better to give than it's to receive.
And one more else : It raises your self esteem plus your self respect that you do things that the average person doesn't do, maybe if they would thought they would, maybe if somebody mention it, they would. But it easy for most everybody to go their way, and if they're not interrupted by a good idea, that says, "Hey it's so easy to make contribution, this one would be easy, turn off the lights when you leave the hotel room, and make a contribution.

Next is the phrase in term of environment : ALWAYS LEAVE SOMETHING BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT. A high percent of people leave the apartment or dormitory trash! If they stay six month and stay one year, they leave it trash, not better. Why would anyone do that? I read a suggestion : LEAVE IT BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT. See that's just the commitment to your own self esteem, and why not do it if it makes a contribution to your self esteem. It's called INTELLIGENT SELF INTEREST.

IF YOU TAKE CARE OF THE FEW, WE WILL SOMEDAY GIVE YOU A POSITION of very high important over many. But if you don't be disciplined when the amount are small, why would be trust you when the amount are large? WHY WOULD LIFE GIVE YOU A FORTUNE TO MANAGE IF YOU COULDN'T MANAGE THE GIFTS OF THE FEW? Interesting philosophy to consider. Your own self interest leave the contribution.

I was there when I leave a restaurant and give me a toothpick, it's easy to throw it to the floor somewhere looks like other people done the same. And I read this suggestion : PUT THE TRASH IN YOUR POCKET AND THEN DEPOSIT IT AT YOUR HOME. How much does it cost to clean the trash on the highway in Jakarta?

MEGA MEGA MEGA MILLIONS. Would people take home their own trash and deposit it there rather than scatter it on the highway across Jakarta, and the answer is MOST PEOPLE DO NOT ! It's so easy to throw it up the window but now add this : IT'S SO EASY TO KEEP IT IN YOUR CAR, and have a few more points in your favor on self esteem, feeling good about yourself, doing things that most people don't do.

If every did it, what a different country we would have. But it doesn't really matter. But if everybody is not gonna do it, why should I do it?

And the answer is your for own dignity, and for your own self esteem, you do things that most other people allow themselves to do that you didn't do.

#14 Demand integrity from yourself. You can’t demand integrity from someone else. Integrity is like loyalty. You can only demand of yourself. Be the best example of loyalty, and you’ll get some loyal followers. Be the best example of integrity, and you’ll have people surround you that have integrity. Lead the way.

#15 Welcome the disciplines. Can’t give you much better advice that that because discipline create the reality, build bridges, build cities, a well disciple, activity creates abundances, uniqueness, productivity.

#16 Fight for what’s right. It’s a fight we’re in! The story teller says, “And there’s was great war in heaven.” Wow!! You mean way back there? YES ! One of third the angel conspired, and I ask my friends, “How long do you supposed took the third of this angels to get together, did they conduct meetings?” My friends said, “The story teller doesn’t say.”
I said, “Then we’re supposed to use our imagination.” I don’t know. It does say FINALLY, the great war occurred. And the two third prevailed and one third lost.

One of the writer said, “I FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT.” I fought for my family, and what’s right, I fought for my good health, I fought to protect my company, I fought for a good carrier that would bless my family. It is good to fight. Opposite are in conflict and we’re in the middle, and if you want something valuable, you got to fight for it.

Then this writer also said, “Not only have I fought a good fight (and I’ll finish with this, and I got a much longer list , but maybe I can cover this at another time), he continued, “AND I KEPT THE FAITH."

Keep faith for with family, fight like crazy and keep faith. Fight the enemy and keep faith. Fight illness and keep faith. Fight the evil and keep faith.

#8 Ask For Wisdom
This is communication of the highest source. Ask for wisdom that creates answers, faith to believe, things that are possible. In King Salomon's day there was the dilemma of two mothers who claimed the same baby.

And the question was : "Who's baby is this??!"
This mother said, "It's mine."
The other mothersaid, "No, It's mine."

Salomon said, "Bring me the baby!"

They brought in the baby and he raised his sword and said, "I'm gonna cut this baby an half, and give one half to this mother, and one half to this mother". And as he raised his sword, sobbingly, the real mother said, "NO..NO..NO!! Don't cut the baby in half, give it her" (who was not the real mother).

Salomon said, "Now I know who's the real mother." See that's so wise. And the moment was such as drama. But Salomon, the wisest of the wise knew what to do to settle the deal. Ask for wisdom to deal with the challenges of today and tomorrow, maybe the challenges your family brings you.

DON'T WISH IT IS WAS EASIER, WISH YOU WERE BETTER.

#9 Conserve Your Time.
I must learn to do this. How much time have I got left? Not an unlimited supply. Sometimes we get fake out. Bill Bailey (and the average person) said, "I got twenty more years." NO! Bill said, "You got twenty more times." If you go fishing once a year, you've only got twenty more times to go fishing, NOT TWENTY YEARS! That fakes you out. "I got twenty years" NO! Twenty times. See, that brings it right down to the real stuff.
How many blog's like this? NOT A THOUSAND ! A FEW! JUST A FEW!

If you're a person of some dignity and quality, you won't let that happen.

#10 Invest Your Profit
I'll gonna write about this before finishing my writing on financial independence. PROFIT ARE BETTER THAN WAGES. WAGES MAKE YOU A LIVING, PROFIT MAKES YOU A FORTUNE.

"Could we start earning profit while we're making a living?" --> The answer is YES ! I went BERSERK !!!!!!!

#11 Protect Your Family
Hmm, these are trouble sometimes, not that they haven't been trouble sometimes for six thousand years. At school : Trouble sometimes. I know a wonderful mother and a wonderful father who had two boys. In school, they went to different directions. And one become a model citizen, and the other one went to jail. WOW ! Protect your family as best as you can, from the hidden, dangerous, the looking evil one.

#12 Live With Intensity
Hmm, WHY NOT !? Invest more of you and whatever you do. Be a little stronger, wiser, step up you vitality, contribution. Put everything you've got into everything you do and ask for more vitality and more strength and more vigor, more heart, more soul.

#13 Find You Place
This one now is so important. If you're just work on the job, FIND THE BEST PLACE WHERE YOU CAN SERVE WELL. And sure enough, they'll ask you to occupy a better place. And if you keep doing the job well (and I remember guy said said, "Well, If I had a better job, I'd really poured on, but I got these lousy job, so I just go forth") See that's the philosophy of disaster.

So you got a lousy job, DO THE VERY BEST YOU CAN, LET YOUR BEST WAY OUT! It's not to do less than you could, but to do the best you can. With that philosophy, your life can take great leaps forward.

Here's the bible phrase that says, "IF YOU WORK ON ON YOUR GIFTS, THEY WILL MAKE A ROOM FOR YOU."

Hi I’m back again. By the way, I’m now finishing my final project, writing on my thesis about online customer satisfaction. So, what do I waiting for? :-)

Now some challenges for you.

Here they are : #1 REVIEW YOUR PERFORMANCE, whether it’s your communication, or whether it’s your activity, or CEO or on the job. ALWAYS DO MORE THAN YOU GET PAID FOR TO MAKE AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR FUTURE. Later, I read that some unions were argued with this statement, I don’t know.

If it’s raining you can’t fix the roof. If it isn’t raining, it doesn’t need to be fixed! HaHa.. So review you performance, your language with your friend, maybe your children, or your spouse, or you next spouse : just go over that and say, “Hey, I’ve been too harsh and too strong, too stubborn, should I learn to be easier mix more compassion with the though stuff I’ve to deal with? YES !

You know, PRAYER would help sometimes, if nothing else : “Dear GOD, HELP ME !” Say the right thing not to ruin it all by poor communication.

#2 FACE YOUR FEARS. You know, I don’t know what challenges you might have and goin over the stuff I’be wrote here in terms of amending you philosophy are going back, and re-doing some stuff that you might have messed up. Face all your fears, that’s how conquered them. Don’t dismiss them, just face them. Here’s what I’m afraid of, “I wonder what I could do to change that ??”

#3 EXERCISE YOUR WILL POWER. Maybe to change direction. You don’t have to keep doin which you’ve done the last week, or a month or a year or the last six years that’s not yielding you the benefit you on. My mentor (actually I have many mentor), help me to review the last 2 years so that I wouldn’t repeat those error the next two. So if you’re a goose, you have no choice to do the next two like you did the last two. But if you’re not a goose, here’s which you can do : "PICK A NEW DESTINATION AND START GOING THAT WAY!” You said : “I’ve done this for the last two years, I’ll probably have to do it in another two.”
THE ANSWER IS NO! NOT IN A MLLION YEARS!!!

Now you can change one little degree at the time or if you want to, you can revolutionized the whole thing!! Who says you couldn’t revolutionized the whole the whole thing in a weeks time, and start a brand new direction that will more assuredly help you arrive in a brand new place one year or three years from now??!

NO! No telling five years from now where you could arrive. Use your will power to start the process. Just will power to change a little or change a lot, ANYBODY CAN CHANGE. You don’t have to repeat last year. Clean up the errors, invest it now in the next year what that can make the different.

#4. Here is the next one that’s important (parents have to do it, your spouse, friends), we’ve got to do it. ADMIT YOUR MISTAKES. Sometimes you have admit it to others. Here’s one of the best words in English : I’M SORRY. The reason why that those are good words cause it’s could start the whole new relationships, it could start two people goin' in a whole new direction. SIMPLE EASY (not that easy sometimes) but if you get this done, the turn around can be dramatic, the early years can be big in pay off.

#5 And here’s the big one. ADMIT YOUR MISTAKES TO YOUR SELF. You don’t have to battle about them to everybody in the neighborhood. But it doesn’t hurt to sit down and have conversation with yourself and say, “THERE’S NO USE KIDDING MY SELF, HERE’S WHERE I REALLY AM, I’VE GOT PENNYS IN MY POCKET AND I GOT NOTHING IN THE BANK.” That’s what I said when I finish my bachelor graduate and nothing to do, no job and no money. I had a conversation with my self.

And I said, “I DON’T WANT THIS TO HAPPEN ANYMORE!!!”

#6 Next, REFINE YOUR GOALS. I don’t know what ambition you’ve had up until now, but I think this end of 2007 would be a good time to start the process. I’ll write about that GOALS WORKSHOP before I will finish the topic here, maybe that will help to stimulate you to set some higher goals, reach for some higher purpose, go for something beyond what you thought you could do, and you might double, triple, quadruple, the amount of goals, purpose all the things you think you can accomplish, you could multiply that by TEN by the time I will finish here (in the next day I will write it)

#7 Here’s the next one, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. Yes you got to believe in GOD and community and possibility, and the economy, and tomorrow can be better than today. But here’s the big one : Believe in yourself. There isn’t the skill you can’t learn, there isn’t the discipline you can’t try, there isn’t the class you couldn’t take, there isn’t the book you couldn’t read. If it’s written in some other language, just get it translated, and read it!

Careful With Power

You must be careful with power. A father must be careful with power, so that his children doesn’t live in s shadow. A father must restrain to be a good father, restrain… Yes he could, yes he’s capable… but he must restrain. That’s the civilized society.

The more powerful you are the more careful you have to be.

Hey, the elephant must be careful where he steps. You say, “Well, but this is a big.. big.. happy friendly elephant" (YES BUT THE MOUSE IS DEAD! HE DIDN’T SEE HIM)

He just went walkin’ (AND NOW THE POOR MOUSE IS GONE !) He didn’t mean to, but he is so BIG. That he has to be careful where he steps. I believe that you’re the powerful people and I’m asking you to be careful where you step and be careful what you say, and be careful what you write, be careful in conversation (why is it careful?). Strong but easy, and good communication belongs to you.

Here is the next : THE MORE YOU CARE THE STRONGER YOU CAN BE. Even children will allow you to really get in their case, if they know you really care. If there’s no doubt about your sincerity, your heart that breaks, when you have to cover something unpleasant, there’s no doubt about that, and the more you care, the stronger you can be. And if you gonna be strong, you have to care.

That’s some conversation that you have with your spouse or children or your friend that don’t make sense if you don’t cry, if the tears don’t flow, these conversation doesn’t make sense. This is just belligerent.

I don’t mind a minister consigning my soul to hell fire for my sinful way, as long as he does it with tear and not with joy! If you’re gonna preach sermon on hell fire, wouldn’t you have to sob and cry?? If you’re gonna preach hell fire, you have to sob and cry ! If dry eye, you preach hell fire, everybody dismiss it as a performance.

Unless you’re heart breaks, the tears flow, you can’t preach hell fire for an individual, doesn’t make sense, we dismiss it as ego. But if you’re heart breaks and the tears flow, you can cover some of pretty heavy weight stuff, and be so effective.

Tools of Last Resort Part 2 [Advice To Parents]

Now parents (maybe you will be the next parent, I will be too), let me write here about cruel and unusual punishment. You must be gifted in thinking of ways. Now sometimes severity is needed but only as a last . . . last . . . last . . . resort.

John Kennedy’s father (Old Jo) said this to John (and it’ll serve in so many way and you’ll see when I give it to you) : “IF IT’S NOT NECCESARY TO CHANGE, IT’S NECESSARY NOT TO CHANGE”. If it’s not absolutely necessary to scold, then it’s necessary no to scold. If it’s not absolutely necessary not to use sarcasm, then it’s necessary, in all of you’re the rest of your speech, not to use sarcasm.

A mother who scream all day at her children, finally the kid get used to. Mom just scream all day, kids come over to visit, and say, “Don’t mind, Mama, she just the screamer, I mean she just scream all day, everything, scream all day." So the kids are used to it. But now comes the big problem when the three old year child is headed for the street and the truck is coming and mama scream. NOBODY PAYS IN ATTENTION! Mama should save up her screams, so that the day she does and it becomes a necessary of the tool of last resort, the day she scream THE WORLD STOPS ! Wow ! See that’s the key.

#4 TEMPER
“IF IT’S NOT NECCESARY TO LOSE TEMPER (now sometimes it is!), IT’S NECESSARY NOT TO LOSE YOU TEMPER”. Just hang on to that emotion explosion. Yes you can explode all over somebody, but only as a last resort of it’s called for, but not all the time. All of us have to contained ourselves. Here’s the first law of the civilized society : THE RESTRAIN OF POWER AND RESTRAIN OF THE EVIL SIDE OF OUR NATURE. When a little three old boy hit another three old boy over the head, if he’s not restrain, he will do it again! And if he’s not further restrain, he’d probably enjoy it. And we have the beginning of un-civilized person.

The first mark of civilization to be a civilized society is the restrain of your emotion, the restrain of your words, the restrain of your power. That’s the beginning of the civilized society. And so it is in civilized language, communication. The restrain of being so powerful you blow somebody away or make the situation so impossible that’ll never be cure. Effective but careful, easy but powerful.

Speaking of Jesus one more time (it’s so easy to use the Bible as almost an exclusive source of stories and illustrations). The records tells according to the story tellers, the record tells us that Jesus in three and half years of HIS ministries only lost his cool just a few times, NOT A FEW TIMES A DAY ! NO ! Just a few times in three and a half years. See . . . that’s the key. But when he did, BEWARE. Just one scene where HE grove them out temple, kick over the money changer’s table, scream like a camachi, grab the whip and drove them all out the place until the place was empty!

Everybody said, “Get out of here . . . HE’s on the rampage . . . !” Have you got it? Make it on your note : NOT EVERY DAY !!! So I’m asking you, OK? The restrain the power, yes you can use, yes you can empty the place, but see only as of a tools of last resort, whether it’s the community, or the company or the person or child, right? The restrain of power.

Tools Of Last Resort Part 1

An interesting subject now in rapping up communication, call TOOLS OF LAST RESORT. Here’s my language something you can use, that can be highly effective but we call it tools of last resort, not to be used in less of like no hope left, there is the only last chance, there’s no other possible way, the you reach in your bag of tools for the tools of last resort.

#1 DIRECT ATTACK.
You, instead using yourself as an example, using third party as an example, you go right after somebody, it’s call a direct attack on the problem, that’s mixed in with the person, and you’re trying to be delicate and careful but they need to hear it direct. That you got to be very careful of. Use every any other means possible first before you go for the direct attack. Third party, use yourself, every illustration you can think off, but finally, that doesn’t do it, finally, you maybe to say YOU ! But you now must do it very carefully, and only as a tool of last resort

#2.SARCASM.
Sarcasm is a useful communication tool, but you must be careful how you use it. Sarcasm says, “Who do you think you are??!.” As the GOD say to Joe (John I mean), and he’s complaining. And GOD gave Joe a unbelievable lessons and HE said,

“Where were you when I put the world and places?!” “Where were you when I flunk the stars into the heaven?!” “Where were you? Hiding on the bush?!”

I mean, this is sort of an eagle trick for GOD working in Joe. A bit of sarcasm. But the time it comes, and Joe need to hear it, there’s no other re-course but to right after. Sure enough it turns around. Someone walks and late and you say, “Where have you been??!!!” (especially if it’s in a symbol group). You got to be very careful to things like that. That’s loaded.., with you don’t care..? Especially exposing something in an audience of people. Best to do those kind of thing private, get someone of the side and say, “Hey, late one more time, and I’m telling you, you won’t be welcome here anymore.” See you can jump the gun in somebody’s head with sarcasm. Tools of ..LAST RESORT, when there is no hope left and there’s only way.

#3 SCOLDING.
You have to be very careful of scolding. Scolding sometimes as a last resort is very necessary, but you must be very careful. Scolding someone is like giving him a CUT, with your word like on the hand. Maybe it serves the purpose and the cut will heal, and everything will be OK, you need to get their attention. But you must not do it every day, all the time.

Some children wind up with this physic scars because they’ve been slash and cut every day, scold . . . slash . . .cut . . . every day ! And the wind up, psychology disadvantage. Because of this kind of treatment, somebody who has the words. Words that are cruel, but they use too often and too often all the time, rather than saving it up for the tool of last resort, they just cut and slash all the time, and kid sometimes has a hard time working out of this problem, because of that kind these atmosphere.

Too severe we say too severe. In some country if you steal, they cut off your hand! That’s a bit too severe, isn’t it? Maybe it little piece of the finger, not the whole hand ! Hahaha. But guess what they say, it’s very effective. Say, “Did you ever steal anything else?” He answer, “What, are you kidding, with just one hand?! NO! So it’s effective, but we would say what? To severe.

What will we say with someone now that has been convicted, they must not suffer cruel and unusual punishment, hopefully would continually to be a country that doesn’t have a minister cruel and unusual punishment.

Become a good persuader [Cont'd]

#2 BORROWING SAYING IT WELL FROM SOMEONE ELSE, like the lyrics of the song of somebody’s written something that so gifted in terms of it’s meaning and impact as might you will use it.

I write early about Zig Ziglar. Zig said that “If you help enough people to get what they want . . .”I didn’t say that, I borrow it. Zig said that, I borrow it. It’s effective as Zig said it.I borrow the lyrics from songs, the messages of someone else. To some people have said that so well, you couldn’t have thought that in a million years.

Winston Churchil said,
"The truth is inconvertible Mallace may attack it, and ignorance may de-right it ;
But in the end, there it is."

See you can stay all night and think of that :-) So why not be a good student of good ideas, a good student of things well said, just borrow.. borrow, use.. use.

Here is the next one : #3 STRAIGHT TALK, TELL IT LIKE IT IS. I’m sure these days everybody ready to accept this, no nonsense, tell it like it is, straight talk. This is not a belligerent talk now, this is just straight talk, no nonsense, this is a how it really is, there is no sugar coding it, or glamorize it.

Some people are in the affirmation glamorize something, but we don’t need that. “Every day and every way I getting better and better.” What if that is not the truth???! Would you keep saying it and saying it??!

Here’s the best affirmation (THE TRUTH) : “I’m working of discipline every day that’s making me better and better.” See now that affirmation is the truth (if that’s the truth). Straight talk.

AFFIRMATION WITHOUT DISCIPLINE IS THE BEGINNING OF DELUSION.

Plenty is possible without being foolish.

Here’s the truth : WE ARE THE VICTIM OF OUR SIN AND OUR ERROR
Here’s also the truth : YOU CAN TURN IT AROUND IN ONE DAY AND HIT A BRAND NEW DIRECTION.

And probably within a few weeks maybe in a few months, the early return will keep you on this track forever and the fortune belongs to you. And the answer is WHY NOT? The quicker you turn it around the quicker the abundance belongs to you and the closer your fortune comes and then you’ll have the health, breath and the vitality to do extraordinary things if you start a new health program today.

So you’ve messed up in the past, that’s the truth. The truth also is today can be a brand new day, pick a new destination. The truth is revealing and inspiring, that’s why we use it, that’s why we don’t use some tricky other stuff . The truth alone is enough, it sets you free.

One : To correct old errors
Two : To set up easy discipline that changes everything.

Here’s what’s next : #4 LEARN TO DEAL IN CHALLENGES.
That’s all sports and music all about. To play so well someone inspired, the challenges to say it well someone gets it, the challenges to be so gifted in language that somebody sees it. It’s unbelievable.

Only human being can do this, “Close your eyes.” The man close his hand over his eyes and says, “I see it . . I see it.” NO..! “You got your eyes closed” NO ! There’s more that one way to see. And also somebody has to do a see an answer that he can start it immediately, and within the six month, their whole life will start to multiply and change, within one year, the different will be extraordinary, and the person who was lost, now become the person of influence, just because somebody help them to see for the moment, what was wrong, and the possibility to change it. And then the challenge to go do it and do it well.

Now here’s the best challenge of all : #5 LET’S GO DO IT.
Not only say you go do it, you go do it. LET’S GET HEALTY, LET’S CHANGE THE WORLD, LET’S BUILD AN ENTERPRISE, LET’S WORK ON THIS TOGETHER. See I always respond to this. Sometimes it’s hard to leave yourself out, it’s hard to self inspired first. If somebody said, “C’mon, let’s start a new program.”
“C’mon, let’s do an exercises.”
“C’mon, let’s get healthy.”
“C’mon, let’s start something.” That is so inspiring to have somebody said LET’S.

There’s something about that can keep you wake at night, that turns on the juices, that reaches deep in the soul, for a person that can do extraordinary things when somebody said LET’S.. LET’S “I’ve got two with me already, if you’ll be the next, we can conquer the world !!” (WOW !!) “Together nobody match for us, by yourself, you’re vulnerable, with us, nobody match !!” (WOW !!) So figure out ways to say LET’S . . . LET’S . . .

Become a good persuader

Make these lists to become a good persuader of people to change their ways, people to change or to grow, or even persuading someone to buy or to participate. In the art of persuasion, here is the deal :

#1 BECOME A GOOD STORY TELLER
In the way to become a good story teller is to gather up stories or testimonials. Here is one I’m asking you to do : Learn some of those stories of people who started nothing, people who started behind and made it work, people who had no money but had courage. If you got enough courage, you don’t need much money, that’s all you need, is a little seed or something, a chance. You don’t need a promise or a guarantee !!
If you talk to teenager, just gather some of the teenager stories :
Teenagers who are in trouble, now set free. Teenagers who couldn’t find their way, now they know the way. Teenagers who couldn’t communicate, now they can communicate. Teenagers who were lost, now they’re found. Teenagers who help themselves, now they can help others.

Just learn some of these teenage stories, there’s plenty around.

Jesus was one of the great story teller, to use HIM one more time. HE had this gift :
HE said, “The Kingdom of heaven is like . . .” He didn’t say, “The Kingdom of heaven was . . . and then try to describe it in some abstract terms.
“It’s like A FAMILY”
“It’s like YOU AND ME”
“It’s like US”

See we can understand that. Something abstract? We couldn’t understand that! But HE said It’s like . . . (and tell a story) What a gift??! See that’s being gifted, practicing the craft so well that you can do that.

Inspiring Others

Here’s one of the best ways to inspire someone else : HELP THEM TO SEE THEMSELVES BETTER THAN THEY ARE. Sometimes we have to help people see themselves as they are. If your friend or your child or your spouse messed up, you got to say, “Hey, you have messed up!” But here’s the next clue, buddy : DON’T LEAVE THEM IN THE MESS!!

So they’ve messed up, how quickly could they turn it around? Almost overnight! What could be the promise of the future if they start walking a new road? Absolutely colossal and unbelievable. So we quickly go from saying, “Yes you’ve messed up, no doubt about that." But here’s how quickly you can recover, multiply the future in a positive way versus negative way that brought you to this poor place.” See the gift of language can do the most incredible things with the human beings, rescue and send them into the future with the a picture of the promise, the possibilities. Don’t be lazy in exercising this gifts.

Someone say, “How good we do at it?” As good you possibly can.
Someone say, “This is only a child?” What a better place to start, correcting a few errors and building the promise of the future. We can’t say it’s only a child This could be the next superstar. This could be the next superstar. This could be the next person of high productivity that start enterprises that employees . . . millions !

THE PROMISE OF THE FUTURE IS AN AWESOME FORCE.

Jesus use it as an incredible incentive. He said to HIS little group, “We’re gonna have a tough time and a bit of misunderstood. This is a new things we got going here. Some people are gonna like it and some people are not gonna like it and you know the devils are after us and all of the rest of this stuff that start this drama way back in the beginning for the beginning since it hasn’t change. But we got such as a splendid idea, it worth working, I’ve been with you know three and half years, and here’s the deal. Let’s now tell the story to someone else."

They said OK!

So they start telling the story, sure enough, they run into challenges, the devils do their work! And I’m sure, Jesus said to them, “If we do the work well, I promise you when all of this is finished, in MY Father’s house are many mansions. See that’s clever !!

HE PUT THE MANSION SHOT ON THEM! HaHaHa..

No wonder they walk the street and told the story, fought the devils and fought the oppositions. No wonder ! But I’m sure the came back to Jesus every once in a while and said, “WOULD YOU TELL US THE MANSIONS ONE MORE TIME? WE HAD A REALLY TOUGH DAY!” HaHaHa…

So you got to do this with your children, spouse maybe or friends. You got to dazzle them. Take dazzling lessons. So that you can give them the promise of the future. They’ll do extraordinary things, if they can see. If they can see, they’ll take little steps maybe GIANT STEPS!

Solutions

Here’s another part of communication : That is SOLUTIONS. Solutions usely involved by communication being able to take somebody from the present. For sometimes we take someone back to review their mistakes. Sometimes first to help someone we take the back and examine the errors that brought them to a poor place. Error in (health, career, personal) judgment. So sometimes we have to take someone back and sometime it’s difficult to go back over those time that were difficult.

Then here’s the next challenge, BRING THEM TO THE PRESENT. Here’s how it is now. Guess what NOW always is : “THE GREATEST OF HOPE AND THE GREATEST OF POSSIBILITY.” If you begin NOW to amend those error in judgment, to construct the new destination and their by a new direction, because direction determine destination.

If you reconstruct NOW, starting NOW, so we give them the sense of the past, errors that might bring tears, sadness, cloud for a while. Wow! Yes that’s how it was, yes that’s where I made my mistake. But here NOW : “NOW IS LIKE SPRING, A NEW OPPRTUNITY.” And then we describe the NOW in the opportunity.

But here what’s best IS TO BE ABLE TO TRANSPORT SOMEONE INTO THE FUTURE, with their problem solved, with money in the bank, with their health restored. You can’t restore your health overnight. So you got to take someone into the future, in just a few months you’ll know the difference, in the first year, it’ll be incredible, by the end of the third year, I PROMISE SUCH AN ABUNDANCE of this, this, and this change to this change, this kind of productivity, activity.

Take somebody on the journey back, show them the present (called opportunity) and take them to the journey into the future. And here’s how it can be, here’s how it going to be. THE PROMISE OF THE FUTURE IS AN AWSOME FORCE. In the future problem can be solved, fortune can be won, productivity can be incredible. So be able to paint the past and present and the future. This is one of the most awesome challenges of the communication.

Ant Philosophy

Now, let me give you a couple of clues now about the ants philosophy.

Here #1 : ANTS NEVER QUIT.

If they’re going somewhere and you stop them or block their pathway, they’ll look for another way up down and all round. How long will they keep lookin’? Till they find another way or until they die ! See that’s good philosophy.

Here #2 : ANTS THINK WINTER ALL SUMMER.

That’s why ants appear to be in a hurry all summer. “Go . . Go . . Go . . Go . .”Why? “Winter . . Winter . . Winter . . Hurry . . Hurry . . Hurry . The time is running out . . Get the food, bring it back, winter’s almost here.” See that’s good philosophy. So we’ve got that notes now. Be like the ants. Think winter in the summer. Don’t think summer in the summer and get faked out, “look how lovely and look how nice” - see that’s getting fake out. Ants don’t do that.

Here #3 : YOU GOT TO THINK SUMMER ALL WINTER.
In the winter you got say, “We won’t be in here long, we will soon be out of here, we’ll be out there working and gathering more food and providing for the future. This winter won’t last long, We’ll soon be out of here.” So the key is to think summer in the winter and, think winter in the summer. Now some of people need help on this, you got to learn how to put it the such away, and giving them the ants philosophy stories on of the best, think winter in the summer and then think summer in the winter.

Think negative when it’s positive, and then think positive when it’s negative.

ISN’T THAT A CHALLEENGE ? Yes, but that’s the life, that’s the deal. How often does winter follow fall? EVERY YEAR! Here’s the essence of life : OPPRTUNITY MIX WITH DIFFICULTY. That’s about as simple as you can put it from the beginning. So that’s not gonna change, the winter will gonna come.

But here’s what we all we need to be advice : Think winter in the summer, think opportunity in the winter. And here’s the deal : SOMETIMES THERE SEEM TO BE MORE DIFFICULTY THAN OPPORTUNITY. It does ! Then it turns ! And then there’s more opportunity than difficulty. And the key is to take advantage when liberty comes, in excess when liberty comes in a great amounts, take advantage build the city, the economy, everything.

Attack The Problem Not The Person

Here’s the next one in communication, that is Attacking the problem without attacking the person. Here’s where language must be careful when you dealing with challenges of this nature. Sometimes you got to put love and hate in the same sentences so that there’s no misunderstanding.

God said, “ I love you but I hate your sinful ways.” Maybe God hates me?? NO. NO. NO. Let me make it clear one more time. I love you but I hate your sinful ways. Sometimes parent have got to do it. Put love and hate in the same sentences. “I love you, but I hate what’s happening” “I love you, but I hate the direction you’ve chosen” “I love you, but I hate the situation you’ve got into”

Kids need to know what you love and what you hate. Because it takes both! The old prophet said, “We must love good and hate evil.”

The evil that will destroy us, the mistakes, the miscalculation that would ruin out our reputation and leave us helpless, what good benefits somebody brings to us to help point out some of the even very sensitive things to go after the problem but hopefully they go after the problem, but they have the sincere desire to truly help.

Sometimes you can get careless in language, and you mean to help but you said it wrong.
What if you meant to say,
“What’s troubling you?" And instead you said,
“What wrong with you?”
See that’s an error in language, that can cost all kind of difficulty ! Now we’ll let you make that mistake three years ago, but three years later, to be making the same error in language?? See, we need to understand that we need learn SAY IT BETTER so that it set up a better chance for communication, and talk something constructive and not come out with something wrong.

Saying it wrong? Correct all those error in verbal judgment. Here’s a good way to go after the problem : Go after the problem that you had. I call this THIRD PARTY. I thought this then it turn to be this. I made a mistakes and misunderstood, sure enough I’m had down the wrong road, about the next week and month later, I’m in serious trouble! I finally work my way out but I’m telling you can save yourself that kind calamity, with a couple words of advice.

Use yourself as part of the problem, say :
“I was the problem at one time.” “I give people grief when I should give them thanks, and it create me no value .”

It calls ATTACKING THE PROBLEM IN YOURSELF.

Then here’s another way : Third Party. “I know someone, who miscalculated and if they were here, here’s what they would say :
“WITH TEARS... DON”T GO DOWN THIS ROAD.”

Remember that movie a long years ago : Scared_Straight ? They took some kids into prison and let them interview and talk to the prisoner and the prisoner said, “You don’t want to come here, Let me take you on a tour and show you what it is like.” And the kids came out the prison with eyes about big saying WOW!! The man said that I shouldn’t come here. See that’s kind of advice, straight talk can be so helpful if it is done in the right manner and the right way.

In building the house on the rock instead of the sand, how do you decide to build on the rock? You have somebody give you the image that they build on the sand and the suffered the disaster of the storm, because sometime when the day is unique and the sky is blue, and cloud is fleecy and white, it’s easy to be fake out and build it on the sand. There doesn’t seem to be an immediate consequences !

Somebody says, “The Storm ! The Storm !” And if you never had one of those storms, and you said What Storms ??” So let me tell you about this storm, and then you need someone to scare you to death about the potential of the upcoming storm so then you don’t make the mistake and be deluded when the days are nice to build your house on the sand.

Identify

Here is one of the challenge : Learning to identify with whoever whom you talking to, whether it is a group or individuals. Identification simply mean Build the Bridge Between you and someone else so that the conversation flows easy so that you try to do your best to understand where each other coming from. Identification means start with something real. If you married and have a family and you talk to someone whose married and has a family, that’s an easy identification.

What’s about get to be more complicated is I am Man and (maybe) You are Woman ! Expectation, demands, and all of that. It’s the challenge. So make this note : If two or three agree on a common purpose, nothing is impossible. That’s a good communication challenge. Could we identify the common purpose, common reason and get together and blend our resources together, my time and your friends / spouse time?

That might be extraordinary time ! One plus one doesn’t equal two. One plus one could equal ten, the power of ten (in terms of potential power in blending talent and skills and purpose) could multiply the power not by two but by ten. That’s way an extraordinary partnerships can produce some of the most colossal productivity and activity in business structure an all kind of unique things. Doesn’t take that many.

JESUS ONLY HAD TWELVE ! So it doesn’t take two thousand. If a few say, "Let’s Conquer The World! We can do something extraordinary, your talent plus mine maybe another one or two." See just a few with a common purpose, interest and power. But the whole key is you start the potential by building a bridge of understanding each other, identification.

If the adult is 40 and the child is 12, see that a heck of bridge to build between 40 and 12. How you identify it? Remember when you’re are 12, and talk about that. One of the promise of being twelve that you’re not 13 !

This is call IDENTIFICATION : Finding some common ground in which to communicate.

Time : Create an Extraordinary Life

An Ideas never dies. It goes and goes. Revised? Yes! Refined? Yes! Altered? Of Course! Amplified? Of Course! Make better? No Doubt! Here’s a good thought on TIME : “Life is not just the passing of time.”

Life is a collection of experiences, their intensity and their frequency. If that’s the definition of life, then it’s possible for people to live several life times in one. So the key is to see how many experiences as you can pack into the next month, next years maybe, their by live more than one life time in one. Yes you can live it the ordinary live, BUT WHY NOT THE EXTRAORDINARY LIFE !?

Even Jesus Christ said, “Here is the purpose why I came, that you might have life, REDEMPTIVE LIFE. Then He added : LIFE EXTRAORDINAERE. Pretty simple and easy to present. Both them. It’s possible to design and live an extraordinary life. And if we do, maybe we can hear God say : “Hey, well done. This is the reason for it all (to live an extraordinary life).”

Intensity

Intensity is the emotional part communication. Communication is both words and emotion. Here is what’s really powerful : WORDS LOADED WITH EMOTION. See that what’s unbelievably powerful.

It can move nations. It can help people change directions. It can establish an ideology, for good or for bad.

Look at Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, at his ability to preach. As wrong as they were, they believe it with all their heart. Disasters result. But they put everything they had into it, the emotional content was unbelievable, powerful. Yes it is an evil direction, but it can also be used in the GOOD DIRECTION. This intensity, strength, power, emotion.

Words are like a little straight pin. A You know pin? What if I took one of the straight pin, and throw it to you, and it hit you in the face or in the hand. You feel it. That’s my word that got you. But what if took that little straight pin and wire it to the end of the iron bar, about maybe five minutes. And then I let you have it, see I can drive the pin to your heart. The iron bar is the emotion, the pin is the word. Here is the craft : IN CONVERSATION IS THE CRAFT, DON’T GET LAZY IN LEARNING THIS CRAFT. Because it will serve you so well at home, in the marketplace, in your career and making your fortune. This craft of the communication.

Here is the combination : Well chosen word mix with measured emotion. Not only the word that have to be well chosen, the emotion has to be well measured. Meaning : not too much power for a minor point. The actor on the stage or in the movie, in giving a performance, has to learn this craft, of the right amount of emotion with a dialogs in the words that will be spoken.

It can be so powerful if it is measured well. See if you had a powerful point, and a little bit of emotion, that would make sense. Nobody will get it. Nobody will say : Wow such a powerful point, it’s not a very strong emotion.

So then you can, c’mon, too strong with some minor point. You know sometime kids have a legitimate objection. "You’re making too big deal." And sometimes parents have a tendency to do that. To make a big deal out of a little deal. So here’s the key : Make a big deal out of the big deal, and smaller the emotion content, on a little minor deal. That’s an art, the craft.

When you go fishing, what are they say?
“Don’t pull too hard, you’ll loose the fish.
Don’t give them too much line , they’ll get away."

So it cal PULL PULL PULL - easy . . easy . . easy..

That’s like the communication.
Strong but not too strong.
Close but not too close. (give me a little more room…)

Adjust your style to fit the occasion, and the emotional content so that it works, make sense, that when you burst on the scene it’s called for, the point is called for that much emotion. This is the craft, don’t get lazy here. Why? Because the pay off is so great, whether it’s working on the job, or advancing your career, or at home with your family, or communicating with your spouse.

Whatever it is, craft your communication. Be a little more aware, and just ask your self : COULD I POSSIBLLY GET BETTER AT AFFECTING PEOPLE WITH MY LANGUANGE, WORDS, STYLE, AND MY EMOTIONS AND ALL THE REST. And the answer if YES ! We all could. I could, YOU COULD ! That’s why I’m here, to practice my craft as well I deliver this lecture, and message. To see if I can be better this year than I was last year.

Read Your Audience

If you’re OK, say I AM OK !!? Is these stuff helpful so far? I wanna hear YES.. Fantasic…

Here is the next one that’s really challenging, that is READ YOUR AUDIENCE, whether an audience of a child, or audience of a training class, or whether you’re a minister and you preach. Here’s what you got to do : SAY SOMETHING WELL BUT THEN READ THE AFFECTURE HAVING.

“Should I keep going or should I quit? Is it over or..? You must know should you slow down, or speed up, or are you coming on too a little to strong, should you getting a little softer." This is what reading is all about. If you’re talking to a child, should you really pure on or should you hesitate? Should you say this for another time or do it now? Some of that you gotta pick up by reading the child. Read what’s happening to your audience of one or a thousand. This is a challenge. But it will help you in framing better the word you need to say, and the style you need to use.

If a guy leaning toward the door that mean you probably should hurry ! He’s not gonna here long. Get it done.

Now in reading, here’s three things :

#1 You Read what you see. Sales people soon learn, if a customer got his arm folded and his chin tuck down and his frowning, this one ain’t gonna be easy. This one gonna take my skill to make his arm unfolded, make him a little more comfortable, get that frown off his face, “what can I do?” I got to reach in my back for some good stuff right, to see if I can change the situation. And what cause us now to do those amendments in our presentation, that’s reading somebody language.

#2 You Read what you hear. If it’s two way conversation, you got to listen as well as talk. Two ears one mouth, listen twice as you talk at least, maybe more. Listen so you can now how to proceed, especially if you’re talking to a child, you listen so you know how to proceed, not just going on and on.

#3You got to pick up the emotional signal, how you feel, whether you’re comin’ too stong, would you should be stronger or easier this time. That’s an art, in reading, first what you see, second what you hear, third read how you feel. Women are good in this stuff. It’s built in, I guess. So come on man?!

Style, Vocabulary, Don't fail to say it.

I'm back again, most in past few days I had something to do about the school stuff.

Now you got to develop your own style (like I do in this recent time). You can be a student of style. There is a dozen people that I know over the years that you know those dozen appear to someone’s style. You know, NOT COPYING ANYONE PERSON. “I like the person’s gestures.” Frank Sinatra was the best not for only his lyrics and his phrasing, and his style, but his GESTURES. They were captivating, part of his persona.

So make this note, it’s not just what you say, IT IS HOW YOU SAY IT. Style, sincerity, the way you present it, heart, soul, from deep inside, commitment, dedication, all there in your language, so when you present it, become incredibly effective.

Next is Vocabulary.

The better your vocabulary, the better you can share ideas that were meaningful, find words now to use that you couldn’t use before. Interesting story on vocabulary (I read in on a book). Some people in research took a survey among prisoners, some rehabilitation programs they working on for prisoners : THERE’S DEFINITELY A CONNECTION BETWEEN VOCABULARY AND BEHAVIOR.

And here is what they discovered : THE MORE LIMITED THE VOCABULARY, THE MORE TENDENCY TO POOR BEHAVIOR. Isn’t that interesting? And when you think about it for a while, you can say, “Well I can see where that would be.” If you’re very limited in your ability to comprehend because you have such as limited small vocabulary, no matter what someone said, you’d still be confusing, it still might not make sense. They said it clear but you couldn’t see it and sometimes it’s because the vocabulary is so limited that is doesn’t have the ability to register the scene on the screen of your consciousness.

So start working on vocabulary, and immediately BEHAVIOR WILL START TO CHANGE. Being able to see, comprehend. Now I see, now I understand the reason why. And as your education increases that should be one of the major purpose of your education, is to help to see thing you couldn’t see before, comprehend what you couldn’t comprehend before, see beyond tomorrow you couldn’t see before. See that the gift. Now here’s another reason.

ONLY FROM WITH OUR PRESENT VOCABULARY CAN WE EXPRESS, what’s goin’ on our head and heart. You can’t express beyond your present vocabulary. What if it’s very limited, then your ability to express what you think, express how you feel is limited. So by a very restricted vocabulary, if you can’t understand very well, and if you can’t express very well, then your world become very very small, and you only need a place eight by ten to live.

So remember this : Make one of the books very important book and that is the DICTIONARY. Word that you don’t understand, look it up. What is the word? There is nothing richer than English language, not like Indonesian, as you translate it, the art become disappear. You understand that? It is interesting when you have MULTI LANGUAGES. (I learned Chinese language, reading and some writing, only for four months). The gift of language is so powerful, it’s worth the exercise, it’s worth the effort. Vocabulary, brevity, style, repetition, sincerity, saying it well.

Here is another on saying it well : DON’T FAIL TO SAY IT.
You need to practice. Practice every where. If you’re gonna give someone a gift and send a little card, practice making this little card something will kept and remembered for the rest of their life.

NOT ORDINARY, EXTRA ORDINARY.

Not like every one else, different than everyone else. It’s the practice of using your gift of saying things, another way until the light turns on, another way that express something heart, felt, that the standard ordinary language couldn’t reach, couldn’t paint this mental pictures. It’s OK to give flowers. But don’t let flowers do all your talking. Flowers have a limited vocabulary.

Guess what flower say : “YOU REMEMBER ME !” That’s about all they say.
Flowers don’t say, “NOBODY IN THIS WORLD AFFECTS ME LIKE YOU DO..LOVE..”
See flower talk, but they don’t say that say that. That you got to put into a little card.
“NOBODY IN THIS WORLD AFFECTS ME LIKE YOU DO..LOVE..”
Then you sign it.
And see long after the flowers were gone, somebody will gonna keep the words.

The words is more powerful than the flowers. So don’t let the flower do all your talking. See if you can choose the words that has meaning, unique, and the more you do this, practicing every little occasion to say something well. Keep improving, find a new way to say it, a new illustration, a new story, you’ll get better, the gift will belong to you, and the effect could be electrifying. DON’T FAIL TO SAY IT. I guess women are better at this really than men. Women seems to able to find the language much easier to say something. Men have to work at it a little hard. Not just standard.

Jim Rohn once told his story when he and his wife, Judy parted ways, unique experience. He wrote a little notes :

Dear Judy As often as the night comes, so does my sadness
As constant as the day arrive, so is my love for you
I wish for you and I wish the best for you And I understand that dilemma
My life is here where you touch me
If every you would call I’ll be there to be touched again.

Isn't that touch you?

Under Communication :

#2 SAY IT WELL.
Once you’ve got something, now you can’t mumble. If you have something good to say, you can’t mumble. Right? It’s gotta be clear, or no matter how good the message is, that you gotta delivered, how good the instructions or ideas, no matter how they are, if you don’t deliver them well, now the power is lost, the opportunity is lost.

Here is that will help you to ‘say it well’ :

One, SINCERITY. If the message is delivered with sincerity, see that makes us the different. If the speaker is sincere, if the writer is sincere, if the father is sincere, if the mother is sincere, see that’s captivating for the other. If the friend is sincere, even covering a delicate subject for us, of some changes we probably should make. If they’re sincere, see we will give them room, perhaps to get in our case, if we know they’re sincere, not just to criticize for criticizing sake. If you’re sincerity, I’m telling you that wins that day.

Hopefully like this, we can hear and see someone sincerely willing to speak or write, and someone sincerely willing to listen or read. Sincerity is not a test of truth. In you’re studying and evaluating everything, just make sure you have that in the back of your mind. We must not make a mistake of saying, “He must be right, he’s so sincere.” See that maybe a mistake. Why is that?? Here is why, “It possible to be sincerely wrong.” Here’s the only test of truth : Truth - Truth is the only test of truth, not sincerity. We hope someone will be both truth and all sincere. But we don’t mistake sincerity for truth.

Two, REPETITION.
To get better at something, you just have to go DO IT, go DO IT! Accept every opportunity to make a little make talk if that’s gonna be your business, get better at talking to others, come up of more illustrations, come up of more ideas, read an extra book how to communicate with other people. So you have something a little better to say, and just practice it, get good at it, get better at it.

Three, BREVITY.
Don’t take too long to say if you can say it in shorter sentences in shorter time. One way to learn brevity is to talk to kids. You talk to kids for 30 seconds and they, “How long is this gonna take?” It’s already to long, right? 30 seconds? I mean, they got games to play and things to do, they can’t hang around for, you know, and hour this course. So talk to kids is help you to make you more brief, powerful but brief, well said and, you know, more brief.

The story teller tell us Jesus wondered around the country side and putting His twelve together that was gonna start these whole new movement, and every once in a while you would say, “YOU, FOLLOW ME.” See that’s short. That no hour presentation with the fancy light and you know, just that short sentence. Why could He be so brief and so short with that simple appeal. Probably for He was, not just for what He said for who He was. There’s something about Him when he said that. Probably His reputation, His manner, probably on how He said it, irresistible. Wow!

So here’s what powerful and you can talk less and even be more effective in this personal development area :

“The stronger you become and the wiser you become, the more caring you become, it shows on your language in your manner, the texture of your communication changes and reach it where it couldn’t reach before, it strike the heart where it didn’t strike before.

That’s the key.

The Fourth If That Make Life Worthwhile [2]

#3 IF YOU STAY.
You got to hangin’ there. Some people plant in the spring and leave in the summer, when it gets a little hot, and a little uncomfortable, and it looks like the weeds are winning, and it looks like the bigs are have enough fists. And you have a tendency to say, “Hey, I’ve had it with this.”

But the key is if you want the harvest in the fall at harvest time, you’ve got to stay through the summer. Even if the harvest doesn’t turn up to be good. You just see it through, and use that experience to do better planting in the spring come the next turn around of seasons. So stayin’ there. If you’re gonna play the game you got to stay until it’s over.

On the team, what if the team, and you’re guys were behind, and you said, “Hey, we’re so far behind, we are out here.” And you all walk the court. Right? We would run you out of the town, probably. We wouldn’t own you as the home team. Say, “I am behind so I’m out of here.” NOO! You stay UNTIL IT’S OVER. We’re not talkin’ about the life time now, we’re just talking about THIS GAME, if you’re in it, stay till it’s over.

Who are these people who leave as the spectator before the game was over? Because their team is behind. “Our team is behind, we’re out of here.” What if the team said that? Who are these people that walked you know push and spill pop corn and coke down you’re neck, leaving early, who are these people???

There is one that said, “We’re gonna beat the traffic!” Oh that’s one of the gratest skill on earth ! Beating the traffic, leaving your team as behind. “Good bye, we’re out here, we’re gone.” NOO! If you sign up for the game (you don’t have to go to every game), but the one you sign up, you stay. You don’t have to do everything at everytime, but when you start it, see it through, see the seasons through, then you don’t have to plant anymore, if you don’t want to. But when you sign up, go, go, go the distance.

Here is the guy who build the foundation and he walks and leaves it. Puts up no walk, no roof, doesn’t finish anything, he’s got the foundation scatter it all across the country. Foundation, foundation. I ask a friend of mine :

“John, what are you good at?”
He said, “Startin’ over, that my speciality.” If it doesn’t work, I don’t stay long.” NOO! C’mon! See it through! LIFE IS WORTHWHILE IF YOU STAY, HANGIN THERE.

#4 IF YOU CARE.
“If you care at all, you’ll get some results, If you care enough, you can get extraordinary result.” If you really cultivate your caring character, and care enough, you can have such extraordinary return from productivity, activity, things you’re doing under way.

There nothing worse that being stupid. Being broken is bad, but being stupid is really bad. So get the information. What’s really really bad is being broken and stupid. Nothing worse than that. Unless you’re sick, that’ll do it. Sick, broken, stupid. It’s about as far as you can fall, unless you’re ugly. But surely that’s the ultimate negative life : ugly, sick, broken, stupid. That is it.

WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW WILL HURT YOU !

So you gotta know you gotta have the information. Learn from your personal experience. One way to learn to do it right, it is first mess it up and do it wrong. THAT’S DOESN’T MEAN THAT’S THE END OF YOUR LIFE. But just now clean up the mess, now do it right.

From the negative experience sometimes we learn to do the positive things that saves our life and make us successful. They say, “If you survive your first heart attack, if you survive, you may now live to be the very old person.” Why is that? That’s first attack was the wake up call, and then maybe the doctor said, “Another one of this, and you’re history!”

And you said, “Woww!!” And you make it for the health food store, and you start reading every book you can read on health and nutrition, and you start doing the push up, and you start jogging on the beach and doing all the stuff. And all of that change now can very well help you to live a long long life. Having been alerted, in alarm system that serve you well. So learn from your negative as well as your positive experience.

Here the next : Learn from other people experiences. That’s how you get smarter in shorter period of time. Somebody has been through it for five years, and they wrote a book?? And the book if you read it can save you five years. Cost a few thousand Rupiah (IDR) or $30?? See just you can miss that kind of education. Best to get the information before, yes we can recover, we can comeback you know from the grave, practically… yes we can comeback from bankruptcy and disaster and poor health. But wow, if we have the information up front, that would save us some of those years of disaster. How much better that would be. So learn from other people experiences. Both negative and positive.

TOO BAD FAILURES DON’T GIVE SEMINARS. They don’t want to pay them, but their information would be valuable. If a guy messed up his life for 40 years, you just have to say,

“John, would you spend the day with me? And I’ll bring my notebook and take good notes.” "Good looking guy like you, beautiful family, every reason to do well, and through it all away, teach me for a day how you mess it all up??"

And you just take GOOD NOTES. So the same thing doesn’t happen to you. So learn from your experiences, and other people experiences. IF YOU LEARN, LIFE IS WORTHWHILE.

#2 IF YOU TRY.
You gonna now try something, from what you’ve learn. I’ve write about that earlier, take action. You Never Know Until You Try. If you put a bar up two feet and ask the kid to jump over the bar two feed high. What will the kid say?

Some will say, “No I can’t.”
Some will say, “Easy.”
Some will say, “I don’t know.”

So how we will gonna find out for every body? You gotta take a run at it, and see if you can jump the two feet. So you gotta try it to see who knows, you don’t know. What if you try and knock the bar down, is that mean you can not jump two feet? NOO!! You try it, AGAIN ! Then somebody shows you a little technique, right? Leave the ground a little earlier. Ok. First thing you know two feet easy, when before you couldn’t or didn’t think you could. So you gotta try it. Getting speeches and doing talks (presentation). Just keep trying.

Here is the first step to achieve good communication

#1 HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO SAY
That’s step number one, it’s very obvious. To have something good to say, try to recall, remember, and take notes, keep journal or whatever of your experiences because as you live your life you’re gonna have something good to say.

One, from your failures and Two from your successes. You’re gonna have something better you say from the mistakes you’ve made and how you corrected it and bailed your self out. In sometimes instead just registering it in your head, why not committed to paper, so it is get logged, recorded, and someday you can use it, for the future, maybe.

The key to speaking well, the key excellent communication is PREPARATION. Actually all of our life is preparing. This year preparing for the next, those junior high school preparing to senior high school, then to the college, college to university preparing to career. A career to earn money then preparing to make an investments to keep you safe and secure, build the financial wall around your family, nothing can get through. Always preparing for those steps and stages in our life, that’s part of the game of life. For human it seem like to take longer to prepare.

So preparation, getting ready, sometimes seem so laborious. After the grade one, now you gotta for to grade two, after grade two, then grade three, will it never end? C’mon, one more grade, grade four and then five.. Wow, seems it like take us forever to finally get ready, you know to design a life, and get married, and have a family and career, fortune and future. But it takes preparation.

Now to communicate well, here’s some good words to prepare for communication :

First : INTEREST. Just keep your interest alive in people, and places. If you develop the interest in all of that, when it’s right side up and when it’s up side down. Take an interest in politics of the day, and the speeches and all that’s happening, that’s gives you good stuff to debate and decide, where do you stand on the major issues, not only the political issues, but the major life issues. Be that kind and interest in LIFE and PEOPLE. That’s the whole study. Life study life, in all of it’s twisted and terms, study people and all of their variety.
Last I heard these statement. “In being an enterprise that where you have to employed people, get people to work with you, that’s the challenge. Different ages, opinions, personality, temperaments.

One of the skill to get big money : GETTING PEOPLE TO WORK TOGETHER. See they all different and the whole variety. How do you get them all to work together? Well, IT’S NOT EASY. It’s a challenge, organizing, getting people to work together, but the pay and the PAY CHECK? Unbelievable ! Now when you’re working with independent people, then it’s really is challenging. IT IS LIKE HERDING CATS.

Have you try that? Herding sheep is easy, they all quickly get going to same direction, very quickly. Cats? NO WAY!!

If you got eight cats, how many direction are they going. EIGHT DIFFERENT DIRECTIONS. But if you can master herding cats (I’m still learning this stuff), the paycheck like you can not believe. Wow. There is a surprise a day, waiting for you working with people. And some people are, some are not. But there’s only a few.

To whom in sales actually I’ve heard this : “There is only nine or ten real nasty, miserable, horrible people in the world!” THEY MOVE AROUND A LOT ! HeHe. And you’re labile to get one once in a while. But when you do, you just say, “Hey there’s only nine more like you, I can handle that the rest of my life.” That’s really good. And then sometime you got try to really wit and little humor, that’s helps.

Recently I read this example of conversation.
A : “I heard some people die using to that product”
B : “Not that many.” Now with the silly comment that he make, so give him a silly answer. You can’t give a honest answer to a silly comment.
B (continued) : “I understand as long as the death surround one hundred a month, they get to keep selling the product. If the number go over the hundred, they’ve to come in for a review." Now that’s a silly nonsense, but he deserve it. Use a little humor. Somebody says, “This is not gonna work for me.”
Say, “It’s not design to work to some people. I don’t know, what do I know?? Too bad that’s you. Huh.. you know, what can I say, I’m not a genius to figure this stuff out.”

The best wit in the world is Winston Churcil, right? Lady Astur and the English parlement, exasperate in one day with Winston Churcil
She said, “Winston, if you’re my husband, I’ll put poison in your coffee.
Winston said, “Lady Astur, if you’re my wife, I WILL DRINK IT !!

Whatever it takes, don’t let anybody put you down. Be the student of life and people and all of the varieties, what’s happening in the world. It’s an interesting place to live. And while you’re here, learn all you can, study all you can. The varieties, you know some people are easy, some are miserable, just learn how to handle of that.

Second : Fascination.
It goes the steps beyond just interest. Be like a child, fascinated with everything.

Third : Sensitivity.Trying to understand where people are, whether coming from the positioning maybe in at the moment. Trying to understand a night visit, after days and some winter are tough, and some people are have the tough time. Be sensitive to all of that.

In these session of my writing, I’d like to write communication. Affecting other people with your language.

Here is the one of the greatest gifts all of us have : Our Language. Our ability to speak, to framework in the situation that we create images, pictures. Help someone to understand, to become educated, to see what they couldn’t see before. It’s almost God like in power. The story teller tell us, “In the beginning God spoke and said, “Let there be light, and there was light.” Giving us the indication, that God’s Word can CREATE light.

THERE IS MORE THAN ONE KIND OF LIGHT.

Creating light by His own Words is the power of all of us , Creating sight, which is light in a form, helping somebody to see by using our language the best we know how.

What if somebody can’t see how they could possibly be successful and you came along and told them your story, choosing the best word you possibly could and when you finished your story, they said, “Now I can see.” Before you got here, I was blind, couldn’t see. Now that you’ve shared with me by your language, your story, now I can see. Before you got here, I was in the dark. And it seem to me while you’re talking something’s dawn dawn me. "

Like the sun started coming up, and the more you talked, the further up the sun came and brighter got the images and the imagination. Helping people to see, that’s one of the greatest gifts. Words are so powerful if they’re framed right, if they sensed with sincerity. Words that created images, that express life, experiences, gifts of ideas that you got to share.

See if you can inspire with your own language, a better sense of the importance of the day, of doing the work, of getting good grades, developing yourself, becoming who you like to become, doing the disciplines now and later give you the joy. Later I know that teaching is one the greatest sense of the accomplishment in the world, helping somebody learn, take early steps in a new career, to be an entrepreneur, showing somebody the way, the gift of word, language.

Here is what old prophet said, “Words are like a lamp for your feet, so you can where to walk.” That the gift. And then he said. “Words also like a light for your pathway, so you can see where to go.” If somebody with gift of language and words can help to walk you where you should walk, and then show you a pathway to go, they you do immeasureable service.
Who could calculate the value, and the worth of that kind of exercise, showing somebody to steps to take, and the way to go that would be helpful, whether it’s a way to good health, better relationship, way to an entrepreneur, a refinement of career, doesn’t matter what it is. If we know the steps, and somebody reveals us the way, see they do us by their own languge, some of the greatest gifts we’ve ever enjoyed. Word and languages. #2 Good friends.
Friendships is one of the greatest support system in the world. Nourish it, protect it, look after it, develop it, to the best of your ability. Friends are those wonderful people who knows all about you and still like you, right? Gotta have those.

#3 Heritage.
Keep your heritage alive, that’s make Indonesia great (really??!) It’s the combination of the variety of heritage, the most have here in Indonesia. Gift of languages, business ethics, government, music, poetry, the work ethic maybe. Here is one of the greatest gift you have to bring, your heritage : customs, costumes and styles, poetry, language, ways, recipes, musics. Keep that alive. Don’t pass on the ceremony that come from your heritages. Keep those alive. That’s makes us great. Be thankful to all of that.

#4 Spirituality.
I’ve already mentioned that before. Study - Practice - Teach.

#5 Don’t miss anything.
This the major part of life style. Shut off the television, go look, go see, go do, taste the wine (sometimes), eat the food, enjoy the people, go to the movies. The best values you can pay for to see a movie cost what? A few thousand (IDR) or US $10? Hundred million to make it but only few thousand (IDR) or US $10 to see it??! Wow..! Don’t miss the performance, the songs, the lyrics, don’t miss what happening.

Go look, go see, go do. Average people watch the television six to eight hours a day. That’s too much time. Don’t miss anything, no matter how small the occasion. Go look, go see, go do. Experience Life ! Have you ever drink wine? If you’ve ever taste good taste wine, you will know that the wine is something different from other wine, just know, something inside you. “The Genius is within all of us, it is just need to be exposed and developed, and used.” Something would have told you : “This is fine.” (even though you’re not wine connoisseur).

When you hear poetry, you say, wow, “this is fine.” The music, you say, “this is fine music.” Even if you’re not a musician. Something tells you inside. Now, if you miss all of that, if you don’t go, hear, listen, see, then you’re not tapping into this genius that can recognize something fine, whether it’s the poetry, the bible, or the lyrics of the music.

Just don’t miss it. Elton John sings “She lives her life like a candle in the wind, never knowing who to cling to.” See, that’s fine. And now you go hear it again, again, and again. Let it nourish your soul and spirit, that’s part of life style. Living Well. That’s the key.

I heard this statement about lifestyle :

“The ultimate essence of life is not a Ferrari, it’s not bank account, it’s not million dollar, it’s not being rich or wealthy, but here is the ultimate essence of life, it is LIVING A GOOD LIFE.

Even if you’re a person of modest means, and modest circumstances you can really if you wish go to work on the refinement of your lifestyle so that you can, even with modest means, live a good life. So what are the keys to living a good life?

#1 Productivity. You really won’t be happy if you don’t produce. Most of our life was to be devoted to labor and work, to produce. To produce work of art, to produce a crop of corn, to produce good family, to produce an enterprise. That’s the essence of life and it’s best form first is to be the PRODUCER.

What is the reason for the seed, and the soil, and the sunshine, and the rain, and the seasons of life and it’s miracle? What’s the reasons for all of that?

It is : TO SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH IT. We got books to read, class to attend, thing to do, things to learn and if you put it all together, you can have not only health, but your fortune. Now, why not see what you can do with what you’ve been handed? As basic as seed and soil and sunshine and rain.

Here is what all of the us have the miracle and it’s almost God like and it’s potential : THE ABILITY TO RECREATE. Only God can create, the seed, the soil, the sunshine, the rain, the seasons, the miracle of life. But here’s human can do, recreate those components into the harvest.

By planting the seed, carefully taking care it in the summer, reaping the rewards in the harvest. We call that RECREATION. We can’t make a tree, but we can use the tree for wood to build the house, shelter for our family. It’s God like in terms of potential, to recreate.

To take your hours, your energy, life, and bit of skill and CREATE. Actually RE-create a career, a future, possibilities, fortune. The key is to use it. And you won’t be happy if you’re not extending your self.

Because here’s really the goal of the human adventure : THE FULL DEVELOPMENT OF ALL YOUR POTENTIAL.

Why not see how far you can go, how much you can earn, how much you can share, how much you can give. Why not see what all you could be, what you could become.. (continued..)

Now here’s the secret to success.

A FEW SIMPLE DISCIPLINE PRACTICED EVERY DAY. Now you’re on the road to success. A few error in judgment repeated, you know it’s easy to repeat. But a few simple discipline practiced every day, and you can turn anything around.

Once you see that you’re suffering either early consequences or severe consequences, all you have to do now is SHUT DOWN THAT ROUTE, PICK ANOTHER DESTINATION AND START GOING THAT WAY WITH SOME EASY DISCIPLINES that day by day gather momentum and now one success leads to another and leads to another. Just EASY discipline.

And remember this in your personal development quest :
“ALL DISCIPLINE AFFECT EACH OTHER.” Every discipline affect the rest, every lack of discipline affect the rest, every discipline you NEGLECT affect the rest. What’s interesting about success is starting a new discipline, a couple of new disciplines and sure enough, once you’ve game just a little bit of success and a couple of new disciplines, it’ll inspire you to clean up the rest, it’ll inspire you to FINE TUNE all of your other discipline.

Each new affects the rest, each lack of discipline affects the rest. So starting on this journey of new disciplines, solving problems, going from error in judgment to easy discipline that change it all.

And if you start that journey, it doesn’t take long for new signs of success to appear (I’m doing it now!!!). The Formula of Failure

Here is The Formula of Failure : “A few errors in judgment repeated every day.”

Why would we repeat an error in judgment another day, and another day?! Here is why : Disaster doesn’t usually fall on you at the end of the first day. I mean overnight we can avoid and change it all so these disaster don’t happen again.

Failure just takes you down the road you really don’t want to go, but it doesn’t seem like the consequences are gonna be severe at the end of the first day, first week. But you can’t let yourself get faked out. The guy say : “Ah, I’ve been eat junk food for 30 days, look how healthy I am.”SEE HE’S FAKED OUT, HE’S MISS GUIDED and DON’T UNDERSTAND. You can’t judge just after 30 days.

I remember one illustration about judging whether something is you know RIGHT or WRONG, TO DO IT or NOT TO DO IT. Talking to a kid as an ilustration. Just say I had a candle, and I lit the candle, and say to the kid :

“I’ve heard that if I put my finger in this flame this fire of the candle, that it’ll burn my finger.”

And the kid say : “Yes it will, if you put your finger in this flame from the candle it’ll burn your finger.”

I say again, “Well I don’t really know, but I’m willing to try it.”

So later I stuck my finger in the candle flame (and pull it quickly) and I said, “My finger appears to be OK.” And I did it again, pull it out, and said, “My finger appears to be OK.”.

And the kids say : “No..no..no sir, YOU CAN JUDGE WHETHER OR NOT THE FLAME WILL BURN YOUR FINGER JUST BY GOING LIKE THAT, YOU’VE GOT TO LEAVEYOUR FINGER IN THERE JUST A LITTLE LONGER.”

You got the message?

You can’t eat junk food for a month and say, “Look how to strong I am.” Because already you have started down the wrong road, but it first the consequences aren’t disasters. Your whole life is on upside down. You haven’t a rule in your whole life and you’re gonna have a heart attack at the end of 30 days.

But it’ll happen month by month, and a little more experiences eating junk food and sure enough now the consequences are start to show.

So here is what WISDOM is : TRYING TO LEARN EARLY, THE CONSEQUENCES OF ERRORS IN JUDGMENT, POOR BEHAVIOR, POOR LANGUAGE.

And then try to learn from others, that have gone down to disasters road, and sure enough they suffer the consequences, and you say, “WOW, THEN I’m GONNA CHANGE DIRECTION CAUSE I DON’T WANT THOSE CONSEQUENCES.” That call doublish SMART. Learning from error in judgment.

Four Steps To Success

I don’t know what’s your really mean about success. Money? Fame? Car? Condo?
We are all going to that area, and I remember these stuff.

#1 Good ideas.
Do your research on good ideas. Be a collector of good ideas. Keep a good record of good ideas. I got recommendation to keep a journal (an empty book), and I’m doing it now from that day. Capture it. Here is I remembered : DON’T TRUST YOUR MEMORY.

Some say : “Ahh, I’ll remember that, sure enough.” The time passes and somehow it’s gone. So write it down, if you don’t have the journal with you, just grab a piece of paper, and write it down, later put in your journal, so that it’ll become you know attractive to sit down on the cold rainy evening and go back through your journal. The ideas that change your life, maybe save your marriage, save you from bankruptcy, help you become successful, make you millions. Just what a good review, going back over the collection of good stuff that you gathered over the years. Be a collector of good ideas, for your life, business, relationships, future.

#2 Good plans.
For the day, for the future, a good health plan, a good plan for your marriage. Building anything is like building house, you need to have a plan. Here is good time management idea : When you start a day, as soon as you have it finished. It’s like building the house building the life. What if you started laying a bricks and somebody says : “What do you build?” And you say : “I have no idea.” See they will come and take you away to a safe place.

So you don’t start the house until you finish it. Is it possible to finish the house before you start it? Yes, it’ll be foolish to start until you it had finished. Not a bad time management idea. Don’t the start the day till it’s pretty well finished at least the outline of the day. Leave some room to improvise, for extra strategy, and finish it before you start. Here is the next one that’s more challenging. Don’t start the week until you have it finished. Lay it out, structure it, then put it to work.

The next one is the a little tough : Don’t start the month until you have it finished. And the big one. not the bad idea toward the end of the year, sit down with your spouse, family, for the family structured the things, sit down in your business for the business things, sit down with your financial advisor for your investments and map out the year.
On your family maybe your children say : “Where are we on the game plan, please show us our names on the game plan ?” That’s a pretty tough doing the whole year but at least have an idea, at least the skeleton outline before you start a year, you’ll be a lot more excited.

#3 Learning to handle the passing of time. It’s take time to build a career, takes time to make changes, give your project time, give your people time. If you working with people give them time to learn, grow, change, develop, produce. Here is the big one, GIVE YOUR SELF TIME.

Takes time to master something new, takes time to make changes, and the refinement in philosophy as well as in activity, give your self time to learn, to get it, time to start some momentum, time to finally achieve. It is easy to be impatient with your self, right? I remember the first time to tie my shoes. It seem like it was taking forever. You can be a better pro. You can better master the art of managing time, conversing resources, working together as a partner. Give your self time.

#4 Learning to solve problems.
Business problems, family problems, personal problems, financial problems, emotional problems, the list is unending. Challenges are for us all. Here is the best way to treat the problem : THE OPPORTUNITY TO GROW, CHANGE IF YOU HAVE TO, MODIFIY IF YOU MUST, DISCARD AN OLD PHILOSOPHY THAT WASN’T WORKING WELL TO A NEW ONE.

Jim Rohn one day met his mentor : "Show me your current economic plan that you working on." He said : “I don’t have any current economic plan, except keeping my head above water.” That was Jim Rohn current economic plan in that day.

Why don’t you modify that old philosophy that hasn’t got you where you want to go? And let’s try new strategy, learning from the old, trying some new. And I did that too. But if you make the changes, things are start to change.

IF YOU WILL CHANGE, EVERTHING WILL CHANGE FOR YOU.

I took that to my heart. And sure enough, the more I change for the better, the more I change from having a poor day to a good day, from lack of discipline to discipline, the more I change giving up old habits and acquiring a new one, the more my life change. So solving problems, treat them as opportunities to a meant error in judgment.

A little subject call How To Turn Nothing Into Something :
First : IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES.
Imagination is the first step of the miracle of possibilities. Reality first start with imagination. Now it’s hard to call imagination nothing, but it’s not tangible. Everything is something even it’s the imagination, it’s something.

Einstein one said : “There is nothing faster than the speed of light.” Maybe here something faster than the speed of light : That’s THOUGHT. It’s possible that the thought could be faster than the speed of light. How fast can you think back and think ahead? I guess we can’t say the exact same instant. But all we can say “it seems like” the exact same instant, if you don’t know the truth, you can’t say that’s true. And if you’re not a scientist, you know, little out of order to say “yes, this is true.”

But here is that is seems like : “IT POSSIBLE TO THINK BACK AND AHEAD AT HE SAME TIME ! I mean, HOW FAST IS THAT??!! To think back and think ahead. But it’s one of the marvelous capability that we all have and in your personal development quest of getting stronger and more vital both physically and spiritually, and mentally and do the exercise :

TO THINK, THINK BACK AND GATHER MORE EXPERIENCE. THINK AHEAD HOW TO APPLY IT.

So the experience now multiply in value by two, five, ten. Read an inspiring book one more time, how someone went from nothing to something.

THE POSSIBLITIES ARE ABSOLUTELY ENDLESS AND UNLIMITED.

Second : IMAGINE THAT SOME OF THE POSSIBILITIES ARE POSSIBLE FOR YOU.
I call this now FAITH. Now we start with the imagination now we generate faith. What generates faith? Faith is generated sometimes when the testimonial closes like this :
“If I can do it, You can do it.”
“I started behind."
“I started under the basement, not in the basement.”
“I started with death, not surplus.”
“I started with no pennies, I had no pennies.”

Finally got to turn around now everything is flourishing. That’s we all wanna hear. And then someone in the testimonial like that says :

“Hey, if I can do it, You can do it.”

Reassure our faith. Keep reading, keep listening to the testimonial.
One, that excite the imagination as to the possibilities.
Two, helps faith to occur, that what’s possible for one is possible for another.

Third : TO DEPOSIT YOUR IMAGINATION AND FAITH INTO HIGH ACTIVITY. Discipline activity, not just the activity, but skillful discipline. Take the classes to learn the skills, get around the people that will teach the discipline, and then deposit your imagining the possibilities and believing that is possible for you into high activity.

ACTIVITY FINISHES THE MIRACLE PROCESS OF TURNING NOTHING INTO SOMETHING.

Take joy in the work.
If you struggle to make something clear for someone else that helps to make it more clear for you. If one person listen (read) and one person speak (write), there is the opportunity for the transformation for both. The listener (reader) to be enlightened to see something you never saw before, but the writer here, will be better educated on how to present by struggling with the language.

Words are clumsy sometimes when you try to express what going on in your head, later on in your heart and spirit. But the more you struggle to make it clear, the clearer it gets for you. So both of us could be transformed, what you read here. And I as the writer could be transformed by the exercise of writing, trying it to make it clear. I’ll write something later in “Communication” topic. It’s almost God like quality. Communicating. Inspiring other people with your language.

#5 Develop the ability to SHARE. Not just your money or resources. One of the biggest thing to share of course is your time cause you’re limited on time, you can’t get any more time. Big decision for me here to write something you can read for free. HeHe. But here’s why : It is the investment time for me to share.

So the later come the harvest. By working hard to make clear for you, I’m getting as much as you are. Maybe later hearing some testimonials from reader here. So I’m asking you to do the same. In every possible time, whether you training, teaching, whether you asked to give the speech, always say YES, to the best of your ability.

So you’ll have one more time to share, one more time to help somebody leave themselves from poverty to success, from doubt to faith, from illness to health, from skepticism to believe. One more chance person to person, or class to class, or a little Sunday morning class or a little home meeting, or a personal conversation.

Tell somebody, something good, something valuable. The payoff for you, is in the attempt and the learning experience, and the payoff later is to get someone testimonial that got your name included.

The Five Abilities [Part 1]

Now develop these five abilities in your personal development quest. To be the best you can be, produce all you can, far more than you need for yourself and your family. If that’s your philosophy, and that’s you want to do, something extraordinary it’s possible to live an extraordinary life.

#1 Develop the ability to ABSORB.
The ability to get everything. I don’t know what all you’ve plan in the few next day, month, year, you know.. BE IN EVERY CLASS you possibly can, just stay as long as you can. We all recognize the mind can only absorb what to seek and endure. But the key is not to be careless in the gathering of knowledge, not to be casual in the ideas that could double your health, triple your income, accelerate your career, secure your fortune, amplify your harvest, so don’t be careless in the gathering of ideas. Absorb every one you possibly can.

#2 Develop the ability to RESPOND.
Let life touch you. Let the stories you. Let the drama touch you. Make you more in your reflection about life. And then say a prayer that what you couldn’t do by yourself maybe the collection of people can do, maybe the future will find some answers. A PRAYER WOULD HELP.
Let life touch you but DON’T LET IT KILL YOU !
Let sad things make you sad, Let happy things make you happy.

Don’t shrug off always those time of bitterness that come and sadness that come, AND YOUR HEART IS STRUCK LIKE A BULLET AND HITS IT?! I’m not saying give into it. I’m saying let is affect you, because that’s he part of the drama. The old prophet says “ There is a time to laugh and there is a time to cry. And then says : Be so sophisticated that you learn the laugh who those that laugh and also learn the cry who those that cry. Allow yourself to be touched, moved by the drama, good ideas, opportunity, by someone unique little sentence that might cause you to open you eyes that you never saw before.

#3 Develop the ability to REFLECT. The good time to reflect is when the day is over.

"How did it go?"
"Who did you see, and what did you sayin’?"
"What mistakes did you make?"
"And what did you leave out that you could correct tomorrow?"

Reflect at the end of the months, 30 days that when you usually do the accounting for your business, and the company, and corporation. Do the accounting for your health, if you want to lose weight, how many pounds that you’ve lost? Just do the good reflective accounting.

Talk about THE VALUES OF THE SEVENTH DAY. Here is another thought to consider about the values of the seventh day, it says : LABOUR THE SIX. And the seventh is the special day, rest, relax, spiritual, church, family, friendships. So for the seventh day : MULTIPURPOSE SEVENTH DAY after six day of work. And here is one of the purpose of the seventh day (I think) : It is to review the previous six days.

"How did it go?"
"Where did you stumbled?"
"What did you miss?"
"What should you have thought off that you let passed?"
"Who didn’t you see?"

Just review the last six days.

"What went right?"
"What went wrong?"
"What’s there?"
"What’s missing?"

Then here is you must do : NOW PLAN THE NEXT SIX DAYS. With this information of the last six plan the next six, multi purpose the seventh day. Reflect, go back over, than design, plan, refine and deposit the experience of the past six days into the adventure and activity of the next six days. You will be absolutely surprise at the value and the productivity of your weeks if you start doing a little more of that.

Personal Development : #3 Mental

Now the third : Mental. Your mind, exercises of the mind, built your own library. The books that can see you through, give the idea necessary, to build a good career, to build a strong enterprise, relationships, good health and all of the rest. THE BOOK YOU DON’T READ WON’T HELP !

And here is part of the exercise of the mind : A GOOD DEBATE. Political debate maybe. We don’t believe in the one party system, especially here in Indonesia. And the way to make the idea powerful that is to DISCUSS and REFINE it.

So it’ll fit your situations. So when you finish read the stuff I write, debate all these ideas, discard some that do not make sense. Give consideration to some do make sense. Put some on the shelf for later consideration. And then put some of them into action that make sense.

MAKE SURE WHAT YOU DO IS THE PRODUCT OF YOUR CONSCLUSION. Do that soughtful study. One book in health nutrition says : Do this you will forever. The second book says : If you do what that first book says you’ll die young! So what you do?!

Which book should you follow?! And I studied and this answer I've got is : NEITHER ONE !!!

Read both books and make up your own mind. You engage in the debate, what make sense, what seems to be or not to be. IT SEEMS LIKE.. That’s closes all of us can get. We can’t say IT IS !! None of us can’t do that. We can say : “It seems like…. opposites are in conflict and we’re in the middle.” Our experience’s proved and the story teller says : “It’s started early.” God is interested in high drama. That’s about the best we can conclude. We can’t actually state the truth, except what it’s SEEMS LIKE. But engage the soughtful study and vigours debate. Sometimes you can debate with others and share ideas.
Maybe you will say :
"What is Mr. Amru, the witer mean by this?"
"Well I’m not sure that’s important to our life?"
"Maybe someone else says : No, I think it is."

Engage in this debate.

And here is the big one. THE DEBATE IN YOUR MIND. What’s good and not good. Finally you must come to your own conclusions. Read the best you can, study the best you can, take the best quote and note you can, and do this : THEN YOU DECIDE out of all of that which is valuable enough to try, maybe to do, and add the dimensions of your life that already on their way.

Here the last part, DON’T BE AFRAID TO DEBATE. Communism taught……
(some people says : Ahh, don’t tell people what communism taught..)

Why not? That’s the part of the debate. The bible served us as a good book. Giving you stories on the both sides of the ledger. Here is the story of someone to admire, and here the story of someone to despise! You need both stories to help you with this debate.

Personal Development involved three parts.

First part is Physical, take care of yourself. It is one thing to be fanatic about, your health.
The Bible describes it this way : TREAT YOUR BODY LIKE A TEMPLE. What a good word ! Treat your body like a temple, NOT A WOOD SHEET ! A temple ! Something you take extremely good care of.

Here is one of the reasons why.

"THE BODY AND THE MIND WORK TOGETHER"

The body is a physical support system so the the mind can dream the dreams, and the heart can believe it possible and then go to work and make it happen. And for that you need a GOOD physical support system to manage all of that. One old prophet said : Sometimes the spirit is willing but the body is weak ! See don’t fall into that.

You wake up in the morning and the mind says : LET GO GET THEM !

But the body says : I can’t even get up bed. Hey body : This is the last time you tell me you can not get up the bed, I’ll throw you on the floor and make you do push up until you out of breath. I’ll make you read every book that has been ever written on good health. I’ll choke vitamins down until your face turn blue ! This the last time you say you’re not gonna vigoursly support my dream comes true."

You’re just got to take action now on the stuff here of the physical support system you need to pull off your dream and your promise and your future. Some people don’t do well just because they don’t feel well. It’s not that they haven’t got the skills, it’s not that they don’t have all the rest. THEY DON’T HAVE THE VITALITY !

Some people feed their animal (bird, dog, cat??) better than he/she feed him/herself !

Some part related to physical is : Appearance. Never had a second chance to make a first impression. Comes from ancient script says “God looks from the inside and people look from the outside.” Isn’t that good information? Now you say : People shouldn’t judge you by the way you look. Well let me give you a clue : THEY DO ! But they will first gonna take a look.

Make sure the outside is the major reflection what’s going on in the inside.

Season Of Life #4

#4 Harvest
In due time and for those who qualify and obey this extraordinary law that says : Life was not designed to give you what you need, life was designed to give you what you deserved.”

If you didn’t plant in the spring, than no harvest comes your way. If you plant little, then you’re not gonna receive a lot. And here is the key now for the harvest :

#1 Whatever it is, Offer No Complain And No Apology. If the fantastic harvest you offer no apology, if it’s not much, you offer no complain. That’s the highest of MATURITY, no apology, no complain. (I am still learning this stuff) Here is what you can do no matter what it is : Go back to work in the spring because SPRING ALWAYS FOLLOWS WINTER. If the harvest wasn’t good and the winter was tough, the promise is ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY WILL COME YOUR WAY.

#2 Do Wise Things With Your Harvest. Build your financial security for you and your family on the ROCK not on the sand. There is so many things now you can do, about gathering resources and wisely investing them so you and your family are secure. Here is one thing to strive to become early in your life and career : FINANCIALLY INDEPENDENT. (I'll write it later on). So that nobody or nothing has a claim on your asset. Accomplish as quickly as you can.

I found this suggestion : DON’T BUY THE SECOND UNTIL YOU BOUGHT THE SECOND HOUSE.

It’s not car that makes you rich. It’s houses that make you rich. Hmm? :-)

Thief In Your Mind

Beware of the thief on the street that’s after your purse, but also beware the thief in your mind that’s after your promise.

That little thief that says :
“You’re too short”
“You’re too tall”
“You’re too old”
“You’ve never done it before, what makes you think you can do it now? Nobody in your family has ever done it.”

In fact if you start they’ll make fun of you. It’s call the thief in the mind that steal the dreams and the promise. Makes you less effective than you should be.

Here is you must do : BATTLE WITH THE MIND !
Now what’s the purpose of all this opposite in conflict? Here’s what I think it is : To create high drama.

God wishing it to continue on earth as it did in heaven. I guess. HeHe. That’s the best conclusion I’ve come to. Because here is the last of this now : would it possible to win if you couldn’t lose? And the answer is NO. It’s doesn’t seem like it.

High drama is the order of the day. I guess so ordered by God Himself. But that’s what makes life so unique, so challenging, so much opportunity, a chance of fortune and a chance of failure. And you got to defend yourself against one, see if you can maximize the other. That’s the game of life.

What if you pick up a book...??
And the book first chapter said : “Everything is fine”
Chapter two : “Everything is fine”
Chapter three : “Everything is just fine”
Chapter four : “Everything is still just fine”

WOULD YOU FINISH THIS BOOK? And the answer is NO! What kind of book is this?!

So the book in our life’s story it’s not gonna be these. It’s gonna be fill with the full dramas of the high, the low and the winter and the spring and the summer and the harvest.

So in the summer : Do the work of summer, be both optimistic and vigilant.

Two great words of antiquity
#1 BEHOLD.
#2 BEWARE.
In the Bible there is a little story that says : Beware off the little foxes that spoiling the vines. Somehow it looks okay, but this old old story says : JUST BECAUSE THE VINE LOOKS OKAY YOU GOT TO LOOK A LITTLE CLOSE. THE LITTLE FOXES MAYBE EATING THE VINES.

So whether it’s personal relationship, or business opportunity, or your future or your life or the management of your time, or your health or whatever. BEHOLD THE POSSIBILITIES. And beware of the danger. That’s the key. And all of that we call : Personal Development.

Season Of Life #3

#3 SUMMER.

In the summer, you must do two major things :

(1) Nourish and give life like a mother.

(2) Protect and defend like a father.

This is call the work of summer. Give life like a mother, take life like a father. Love like a mother, hate like a father. Any father would say “Whatever threat this family, take two more steps to this family you’ll seize to exist.” So you got to nourish your garden, then you got to protect it, by fighting the weeds, and the bugs, and others can destroy it. A soon you’ve planted, the busy weeds, bugs will out to take it.

And THEY WILL TAKE IT, unless you are streamly father like. You have to develop a hate for evil. The old prophet said “Love good and hate evil” because those twin forces are will work always." Even in the beginning of the beginnings, Lucifer, according the story teller try to take over God’s throne didn’t succeed and so began the story of the Creator and the Spoiler. And so exist for all of us, there is a great drama of the ability to create that destroyer not to far away.

Next is : “IT SEEMS LIKE OPPOSITE ARE IN CONFLICT AND WE’RE IN THE MIDDLE.” Evil on one side, good on the other side. Illness on one side, good health on the other side, darkness on on side, light on the other side. If you walk in the room that’s dark and turn on the light, the dark disappears and goes away. How far away does it go? NOT VERY FAR !! Waiting for the chance to comeback in, move in, take over the territory, as light began to lose its energy, darkness move in. There is a war on it.

As you sit there, good health plan is trying to defeat illness and drive it into small corner. If you don’t work on your good health plan, illness will drive your health into a small corner. In your blood stream, there are red corpuscles to nourish like mother and white corpuscles to fight and kill like a father. Thanks God for white corpuscles that think negative all day J White corpuscles say “Just show me some infection, I’ll kill it ! Because if I don’t kill it, It kills you! It’s my job today that make sure you don’t get killed. So I’m here to FIGHT !” Red to nourish, white to fight.

So here is the key now, “COOPERATE WITH THE POSITIVE SIDE OF THESE WAR OF HEALTH AND ILLNESS.” What if in the struggle the body calls for the banana and you send it a Coca-cola?? And now the body has the right to say “Whose side are you on??” I’m working day and night to drive illness to those small corner and keep you healthy and you keep sending me the wrong stuff. Come on just a little cooperation here and we can win this game !!!”

Interesting story in the Bible says, there are sheep, shepherd, and wolves. Ordinary story huh? There are also some wolves that have learned to dress up like sheep. Now you need a woman ! HaHaHa. Man says, looks like a sheep, talk like a sheep, woman says : It ain’t no sheep!! Here is what it’s call, HIGH DRAMA, nourishing and protecting, nourishing with one hand and protecting with the other hand. Even at the battle of the mind. DON’T BECOME A VICTIM OF YOURSELF. In this battle of the mind, should I? shouldn’t I? let it go? no don’t let it go? run the red light? no, be a little more cautious, think of your family. See we have to continually to do this.

Season Of Life #2

#2 SPRING.

The definition is OPPORTUNITY. Spring is not a guarantee that you gonna have a harvest, but it’s an opportunity to plant one, it not a guarantee that things are gonna well, and you will accumulate what you need. But it’s an opportunity to do so. Spring time is opportunity. So here is you must do with opportunity, SEIZE IT QUICKLY. Don’t let it come and go. Take advantage of the spring, such a short season. Take advantage of opportunity, for your future career. Take advantage of the day when it arrives, because the day will soon finish. Take advantage of the year because it will soon close.

#1 WINTER

I don’t know where you caught you in the day, maybe it’s spring for you, maybe it’s summer your though day, maybe it’s harvest your cash in. Personal winter, social winter, economic winter, there is a variety. So what about the winter?

IT ALWAYS COME !

So you got to be prepared. Hopefully you’ve done your homework. You’re ready in prepared for this winter more than you were some others that have coming for your less prepared. From the Bible story (I’m amateur on Bible) but here is what the story teller says : “There were two nice people (not one good and one evil), however, and that is the drama of life, one built his house on the rock, and the other built his house in the sand. TWO NICE PEOPLE.

Meaning it’s possible for nice people to be casual, careless. Sometime you can be careless and lose your life (smoke??), just careless. In your car if you in the intersection street when the lights turn green, you’re better not go. For two or three seconds, waiting for the maniacs that are running at red light, crossing in front of you, even though the light is green. That little extra bit of caution, rather than being aggressive, could barely save your life.
You don’t have to go Iraq to lose your life, you don’t have to evil to lose your life. All you have to be is a little careless at unfortunate moment.

When I was growing up there is cartoon of a little boy, and it’s show this a little boy with a little devil on one shoulder and a little angel on the other shoulder, both whispering in his ear, and the little devil said, “go a ahead and do it, it’ll be okay” and the little angel says “no..no..no..no, it won’t be okay.” How often this occur to all of us?

EVERY DAY !!

The same is true with your health, don’t build on the sand (the same is true with your career, being in business), BUILD ON THE ROCK. Because even nice people can make careless decisions that it accumulate over a period of time. And those could be the winter.

Now here is next : “Some winter are of your making, some are not.” Some are just the winter experiences, maybe the whole country goes through it. It was along time of winter for the Indonesia in 1997 (Asia region). Long winter of political despair, lack of freedom.

But what’s the key to the winter?

Here is this in simple language : “HANGING THERE.” I mean you know, winters don’t last forever, some are difficult, some are easy, but they never last forever. The night always come after the day, but it doesn’t last forever, just a few more hours. And if you hanging there, say your prayers, gather a little strength, you can make it through the winter and the night.

Philosophical Language

Then let’s put it on philosophical language, two thing on economics philosophically. Here the first one I learned :
#1 YOUR INCOME IS PRIMARY DETERMINED BY YOUR PHILOSOPHY (Not the economy) that until I was 22 years old, they never told in high school, I went to college 4-5 years never heard it. Then when I finally understood that, I get excited about it. Because I new that I couldn’t change the economy, but I was assured that I certainly could change my philosophy. And I did that (until now).

And here is second the philosophy.
#2 SUCCESS IS SOMETHING YOU ATTRRACT BY BECOMING AN ATTRACTIVE PERSON. Not something you pursue, it’s something you attract. So the key to better economic future is to become an attractive person, with attractive personality, and attractive list of skills, your knowledge of the market place, your ability to deal with a variety of personalities. All those things at anyone can learn with a bit of study, practice, repetition.

Some of the things that really accelerate my learning curve so that I could do better quickly was learning the SUCCESS EQUATIONS

#1 The first come from the Bible. According to the story teller, “What is the key to the greatness, self esteem, to getting honors and trophies, to put on the mental above the fire place? What is the key of receiving great respect? What is the key to wealth and abundance? What is the key to all of that, an extraordinary life?”

And here the answer is : “FIND THE WAY TO SERVE MANY PEOPLE."
Start rendering service. The more you serve the greater your fortune. Service to many, leads to greatness.

#2 Next from John F Kennedy. “DON’T ASK WHAT THE COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU.” [Ignore these promises whatever they say can do for you], WHAT CAN I DO FOR MY COUNTRY." By asking you receive so little, by serving you receiving so much.

#3 Borrowing from Zig Ziglar, “If you help enough people get they want, you can have everything you want.”In the journey of PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, one of the first things to learn is THE LESSONS OF THE SEASONS. Life and business is like the changing seasons. Frank Sinatra use to sing, life is like the seasons.

Now here is what’s next : “YOU CANNOT CHANGE THE SEASONS, BUT YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE (Jim Rohn)”. Learning to change your life. Work harder on your self than you do on your job. If you work harder on your job you can make a living, which is find, but if you work harder on your self, you can make a fortune, which is superfine.

Ideas + Inspirations

IDEAS plus INSPIRATIONS that’s the mixture that really turns things on. We need ideas for the goals and plans and we need inspirations for the emotional vitality, to put it to work, to make it grow, multiply. Guidelines for translating response into result. You’ve respond to the call, come, search, look, listen, get it all. Because RESULT IS THE NAME OF THE GAME. There is NO purpose in learning just for learning sake.

WISDOM and FAITH is powerful those component are serve no use for purpose unless they are DEPOSIT IT into ACTIVITY, put to work. Now produce the hotel, city, institution of learning, career, relationship. Ideas and faith believing that is possible that ideas can work miracle. So the big job here is getting it all. Next is going home an translate it into high activity. Good health activity, a better relationship activity, an entrepreneur program activity, a new burst of speed in your sales career, all of that.

#1 Be thankful for you’ve already have. Here is what locks up the door of opportunity of good ideas that is cynicitm. All you have to be a practice cynic, about government, politic, future, economy. They lock all of the doors. But if you’ll be thankful for what you have, however modest or how much it is, I think that’s the beginning of receiving of flow a new ideas.

#2 Be eager to learn. For things to change for you, you have to change.

#3 Don’t wish it easier, wish you were better (Personal Development).

#4 Don’t wish for less problems, wish for more skills.
The things cost too much, but actually WE CAN’T AFFORD THEM. New ways of looking at things.

Produce Far More

How about producing FAR MORE than you need for yourself and your family? And live the far more life? We’ve heard the story about Andrew Carnegie right (He built the big steel industry back in 20’s in America, and his goals : I’m going to spend the first half of my life earning money, I’m going the last half of my life giving it all away.” Isn’t that extraordinary? Wouldn’t you call that an extraordinary life? The answer is yes. He got so excited by that goal that the first half of his life he earned US$ 400M.

Guess what he did with the last half of his life. HE GAVE IT ALL AWAY! And the big question is WHY DO THAT? And the answer is WHY NOT?! If you got the opportunity to live, design an extraordinary life, why not?

Next challenge

Here is the next challenge: “To produce more than you need for your self and for your family” And someone says well why now start being ridiculous here? Yes produce enough for your self, well yes if you want to get married produce enough for your self and for your spouse now with children produce enough for your family, but why do more than that? And the answer is To live a more extraordinary life.

So now the man produces more than he need for him self and for his children, so that he can be a person a benevolence, so that he can give and so that he can share. That’s the more abundance, the more extraordinary life, to produce more that you need for your self and your children. Is that it?

Let’s take a couple for the next steps. How about producing MUCH MORE that you need for your self and your family. Someone says now you’re off the scale. I mean why work that hard? Why go that far? Why produce that much? Someone says just take care of your self, someone says just get a partner and that’s it then children than that’s it, and be bit benevolence and that’s it?

But WHY NOT go this next step and produce MUCH MORE than you need for your self and your children. And someone says why do that? All of us know the answer right “WHY NOT”? If you got the talent, and the skill, and the opportunity, why not put all that together and see if you could produce much more than you need for yourself and your family.

Another good phrase

Here is a good phrase too, “I’ll take care of me for you, will you please take care of you for me ?” So the first challenge in life is to take of yourself, it is to survive. So to produce enough to survive to take care of your self.

But what’s next? Well all alone it’s a lonely life. So let’s see the man now choose a partner. Now he must figure out how to produce enough for himself and his spouse, his wife. Someone says “why do that? why not just take care of yourself”? And the answer is “it’s a very small life, it’s a very limited life”. We wouldn’t call flourishing, we wouldn’t call it abundance just taking care of your self, that is the first rule, but that’s only the beginning.

So the man get married, now he must produce enough for himself and for his wife. And here the key phrase “To live the higher life”. A life of togetherness. The story teller says, “It seems even God didn’t want to be alone, He create all of this angels.” So to join with someone now you must produce enough for your self for your partner. Now is that it? No!

How about children? That a unique experiences. So now the man has a wife and now he has children, here the challenges, to produce enough for himself and his family. Now someone says “why take on all of that, why not just take care of your self?” You could, yes.. But you couldn’t live this more extraordinary life without taking on the RESPONSIBILITIES of having a partner, having some children and live that kind of extraordinary life. So I think everybody would agree. Is that the end of it?

Little phrase to memorize

Next is a little phrase that I’d like to have you memorize, and if you memorize I’m sure it’ll follow you for the rest of your life. Here is the phrase “FROM TESTIMONIAL AND PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WE HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION TO CONCLUDE THAT IT’S POSSIBLE TO DESIGN AND LIVE AND EXTRAORDINARY LIFE."

I hope you take the idea. And what I want for you is to gather more ways and means to design and live for you an extraordinary life. I don’t know how far you want to go. Here is the first essence of life and that is SELF PRESERVATION, to produce enough to take care of your self. The instructions given right to the couple that left the garden of Eden, one was to MULTIPLY in the lonely place for the only two people. But here the next instructions, TO BE FRUITFUL. How fruitful, how productive should one be.

And here is good phrase “To produce enough to survive, to produce enough to take care of your self.” And self care is important. If you flying on an aeroplane that flight attendant says that from some reason we’ve run out of oxygen, these oxygen mask will fall from the ceiling and if you have children with you quickly take care of them of them then take care of your self. NO ! They say what? Put your mask on first see to your survival first then you’ll be more capable taking care of the survival of your children. Isn’t that interesting?

Ideas

We've already heard the expression “Nothing so powerful as an idea whose time has come” How very true? Ideas when the time is ready it can be incredible. “Nothing so powerful as an idea that come at the right time”.

And hopefully starting today for you and the rest of series my writing would be a good time for you. And the chances are excellent if you keep going as many things as you can get to in terms of information, ideas, others seminars and lectures. Because if you go continuously and systematically some of them will be routine, maybe ordinary and then just once in while, some maybe extraordinary and you never the same again.

And you look back on that experiences and say “that was one of the day that turn my life around” So I hope my writing from I have to share this is maybe one of the extraordinary time for you.“No one person has all the answers, No one person has all the ideas” We need to gather ideas from the variety of voices and the variety of experiences from social to personal to political to the management of time to the conservation of resources, business, entrepreneur, career, all of that. Being a good parents to good mother, being a good father, being a good friend, college. You got to have the whole variety of a good ideas. So these writing we’ll have the chance for that.

Life changing moment

Do you remember that one moment/experience that CHANGE your life? When you say "I DON'T WANT TO LIVE LIKE THIS ANYMORE"?! And then you begin a new search. If you start the search, you will find (a good ideas).

Ideas are not reserved for those that hope, wish, complain, good ideas are reserved for those that search. So the first thing I want to do is congratulate all of you the reader spending your time is a later next days and see if you can through the accumulation of hours during my writing here, go home with the harvest of good ideas, for your business, for your life, for your marriage, for your friendships, for your economic future and for all of the rest.

Hi there all. My name is Amru. I'm thank for the opportunity to share these idea in this very special media. These ideas I want to share with you so dramatically change my life. I'm always excited the opportunity to share them to you.

I'd like thank to Tony Robbins with his indirect lecture, from books, tapes, cassetes and CDs that taught me knowledge that new for me. I still remember in Dec. 2005 I was in a deep shit. Later on I start a journey reading books, attending a small seminar (Big seminar? You know cost a hundred, maybe thousand dollars) turned me around, make BREAKTHROUGH and another BREAKTHROUGH, and another BREAKTHROUGH.

Another thanks to Brian Tracy, Denis Waitley and especially Jim Rohn for his taught for life and business philosophy. Some of this writing adopted from their lectures.

Many thanks to Stephen Covey, later I knew that his 7th Habits were first published in 1989, and I read it in 2006 !!!!! Maybe you say : "Too late of you !! Huh." But I think, it is NEVER not too late to learn something valuable. Do you agree?
